It's tough not to get amped up and call the big national television win over the first tier opponent, but I'll keep it more realistic that that. A win of any sort would be amazing, a tight loss would be satisfactory, a blowout would be very disappointing (if not especially a surprise). I'll be "positive" and call the middle of the three options.

[One on One]

I'm predicting a close victory for the Wizards. I think we'll be amped up for this one and the players don't feel respected around the league right now (by refs and media) so they'll take out their vengeance on the Sonics and get the big win at home.

Well this sorta team matches up well with us and we with them.

JJ is gonna be a key. He has the athleticism to guard Lewis. Hughes can guard Allen.

Arenas has got to play exceptionally well this game. He has got to take Ridenour and Daniels outta the game on offense.

Ray Allen is gonna be a handful.

If Haywood can close off the middle and keep Lewis from getting the dunks off the dribble and plus give us 12-14points inside.

And Hughes can keep Allen from the 35 point game.

This will be a fun game to watch.

Gotta keep Fortson and Collison from hurting us on the boards.

We'll lose a close one though as the beat goes on losing to quality teams.

I think we'll win for a few reasons.

1. The sonics always take 3's, they dont try and get easy two's which is so easy versus our defense, so they won't score above average.
2. We match up relatively well against them. EJ always plays small ball and they 0 true post players.
3. Ruffin will be matched versus fortson to negate his lack of offense.

Seattle shot the ball terribly tonight in Orlando. They missed a ton of open shots, very uncharacteristic for them. I expect them to come out stroking it tomorrow, although the Wizards should have a decent shot at pulling out a victory since they're at home and Seattle will be playing their second game in as many days after travelling tonight. Could have tired legs, I wouldn't be surprised to see a sluggish start from them.

* Kwame will play in this game.

* Blake is out for one to three weeks, so he obviously does not play in this game.

* Non-guaranteed contracts are about to become guaranteed. Why do we care? The team has decided not to waive Profit in light of Blake's injury, so he is with us for the rest of the season.

My Sonics stunk it up pretty bad tonight in Orlando. Didn't hit our shots, didn't rebound, didn't play D. Hopefully we will get a good night's sleep and return to form tomorrow night against you guys. I am certainly not anticipating a blowout by either team. Tomorrow's game should be an entertaining, close one.

After hearing a number of columnists rip us the last 2 days, I would give anything to see the Wizards rip a new one for the Sonics tonight. No offense, Sonics fans, but I want these writers to eat crow when the Wizards beat a quality team on national TV.
