It's Up To You To Help Twan All-star...

Hi, Y'all!
Just wanted to let you know that Jason Kidd is currently holding
the last and final All-Star reserve spot with 426,118 votes.
ANTAWN JAMISON is way behind with 274,629.
That's a margin of 151 489 votes, that MUST be erased by Sunday,
January 23!

If Twan doesn't get these much needed votes, his fans can only pray the
Eastern All-Stars coach would pick him over s.o. else...
Just do ya thing, vote Antawn & Good Luck!!

"Yeah, Portmore!
I love e'rybody that's willin' to vote
Willin' to get more people involved
At Some Fan Forum or Bulletin Board
Or some, Internet access some, website chat line
Mad cause I got mine,
don't wind up on the flat line
And never be concerned 'bout what he say, she say, did he say what I think he said?
I wish my uncle could see me now
If he could see how many ballots I'm castin' now..."

All-Star QUOTES of the Month:

"It's really important we vote our guy in. We're still getting no respect from the average "I only recognize big names" type of fan.

Vince ("Mommy make it better") Carter is leading the votes for Forward in the East. Followed by Hill and Jermaine O'Neal (who hasn't even played much this season)!

Antawn is far better than Carter and he's put up better numbers than O'Neal. Hill deserves the nod though...he's balling!

Our league leading backcourt is getting the shaft too. Iverson, Wade, and LeBron are the leading vote getters at that position. You can make cases for all of those guys, but Gil has done AT LEAST as much as Wade and Iverson. Larry has been solid in EVERY aspect of the game (statistically speaking) this year as well.

I personally don't think that the fans vote should count so much. A lot of these people only know the players they see on the latest Nike commercial.

Let's vote our guys in and show the NBA and the World how an All-Star team is SUPPOSED to look!"

Bullets
------------------------------------------------

"Guys and Gals (come on gals, we want ya in here too ), we need to vote EVERYDAY! If 20 of us vote everday from here on out, it will make a difference, we can't get disrespected come on now lets do this, if you got Wizards pride, you can vote in all of our Wizards, I vote even for every Wizard on the ballot available, plus Hayewood in the fill in. Lets not mess around, it ain't that hard, and lets show some Wizards pride come on now I am sick of being the doghouse of the NBA, let's show the rest of the world what's up!"

Aren't all star reserves chosen by a vote among the coaches? Or did they change that?

Still chosen by the coaches.

Don't worry shaliq, Jamison is a virtual lock for the bench, especially now that the already thin forward spot has seen Jefferson taken out.

Hollinger has Arenas making the team BUT NOT Jamison, who he has Pierce going in over.

Hm, I still think he almost certainly makes it, but maybe he won't. I honestly wouldn't have a big problem with him being left out, as he's really been not all that hot past the first month of the season. I mean I still think it'd be cool as heck to have two Wizards in the game, but if only one player gets to go, I'd be much happier leaving him in the dust.

Pierce is listed as a guard in the all star ballot so I don't see how that works. I would prefer thazt Arenas makes it but Jamison would most likely get the votes for the final spot.

It will be interesting to see if Arenas gets more votes than somebody else even though he has been in a shooting slump in the last couple of games.

Coaches don't have to adhere to what's on the ballot. If someone wanted to vote for an extra guard, they can move a swing guy like Pierce down to the forward spot on their ballot.

wow, you guys do realize that after the starters are chosen through the voting that votes don't count at all. The reserves are solely based on the head coach of the respective all star team's choices. The coach has never looked at the voting to decide who he chooses as his reserves. Jamison will definitely make it. If he doesn't, he will have been shafted again. How he didn't make it in 00-01, i have no idea.
