Our old Buddy Popeye and JJ hurt

I feel proud that I was one of the people not in favor of signing him because of his injury history. I really like the guy and hope he comes back here as a coach, but he has stayed healthy one year in the last six.

Here is the latest article and a blurb (at the bottom) on JJ's recent injury.

Coach Doug Collins frequently proclaimed his affinity for Jones, saying, "He's one of my favorite people. He was a big reason why we were able to win 18 more games than the year before. He was the ultimate pro. I miss Popeye because he's a really great guy to have on your team. He's a winner. He was the ultimate pro for us. He was great with Kwame. I wish he was still here."

I agree and I wasn't in favor of resigning him either. I knew he'd get hurt after he signed. He has the wrong body type. He has that soft looking body and prior to last year always had nagging injuries. And towards the end of last year he started breaking down here. I like what he gave us but i knew it was only temporary. I hope JJ isn't hurt too badly . I like him and think he can help us if given the chance at the sf spot. I'm alittle confused at why we don't give him a real shot a sf. But I think his time will come this season as long as he stays prepared. I understand that Mj and Stack along with Russell playing there I just think he may give us an added dimension there.
