FoxSports.com is reporting under it's nba rumor section that the Wizards are amoung 4 or 5 teams that are intrested in KG.
What in the world would we have to give up in order to get him?

FoxSports is wrong, there are 30 teams interested in KG.

It's not so much that there's a rumor of us having interest; it's more that there is a writer for the Chicago Tribune naming us as a team that probably has enough "starring pieces" on our team to be able to make such a trade work.

Look at the Shaq and McGrady trades of last summer to get a general idea of what is required. We'd have to give up 3-4 players, including a real all-star and a piece of quality young talent. Maybe something like Jamison, Hughes, Kwame for Garnett and Olowokandi (salary match purposes).

PG: Arenas/Blake
SG: Hayes/Dixon
SF: Jeffries/Profit?
PF: Garnett/Etan
C: Haywood/Olowokandi

PG: Cassell/Hudson
SG: Hughes/Hassell
SF: Szczerbiak/Sprewell
PF: Jamison/Griffin
C: Johnson/Madsen

I don't like fantasy trades much, so excuse me if it stinks

I don't want Garnett. He's not a championship player IMO.

KG is sick.

I kind of like our team right now. it's fast paced and KG is more of a half court player.

if anything, a running game would suit KG more considering he doesn't have much of a post up game apart from his fadeaway, and is one of the quickest PF's in the league. and considering he is the best rebounder in the league, that will help start fast breaks.

I don't really see how anyone wouldn't go along with that. I mean, really look at it -- it essentially is us trading a borderline all-star (Jamison) and a pretty decent backup (Dixon) for one of the league's top 3-4 players, just entering what should be his prime. Yes, I know there's more to the trade then that, but I'm talking from our point of view. We haven't had Kwame all year so that's not a "loss" per se, and the first round picks are no big deal since by making this trade, you're assuming that you're going to be going for the gold for the next 4-5 years anyways.
