So, what do people think we can get for Etan?

I actually think L8 is pretty valuable. He passes and shoots well, and when he's motivated he's a very good player.
I'd trade Jahidi for a doughnut right now.

Why not gather a bunch of the guys and try to get a gas station quick shop of some type?

If you really can get gasol and williams for Brown and filler, then i would do it if i were MJ. Maybe off season? Maybe the wiz want to stay pat with what they have now? But if they do, then do they lose out on gasol and williams? Meaning if they are on the block, another team might pick them up. However if only Memphis and washington are talking then, i would think they wait until off season.

I'm not sure who or what we could get for Etan.
He's kind of a tweener in trade value. On one hand, he can play the 4 or 5, which makes him valuable, but on the other hand, he's pretty limited and I don't think he'll get a lot better. I bet most every team in the league would give up something for him, but I would also guess that most teams wouldn't trade a lot for a guy who might not have a huge amount of upside (after four years of college, 1 year on IR, and 1 year and a half in the league). I think Etan could be a great third guy in a very good frontcourt rotation, or a starter if paired with the right running mate.
Some teams that might have a real interest:
The Knicks - Always looking for size. But what do they have to offer in return? A bunch of old, overpaid guys? No thanks. Unless we can somehow get them to part with Kurt Thomas for peanuts, I don't see it.
The Magic - We help them too much, and they might push us out of the playoffs. They help us too much, and we push them out. Don't see it happening.
The Lakers - Apparently we were interested in Devean George. If the Lakers get really desperate could we make a George, Samaki, and Kareem Rush for Jahidi, Lue, and Etan trade?
C - Haywood, Samaki
PF - Laettner, Kwame, Oakley, Cardinal (IR)
SF - Stack, George, Simmons, Jeffries (IR)
SG - MJ, Russell, Rush (IR)
PG - Hughes, Dixon
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of George or Rush, but lots of people seem to think they're pretty good.

I would rather have Etan than Samaki.
I look around the league and see few teams in a position to want to make some trades.
Atlanta is still a young team and probably should keep it together rather than trying to blow it up.
Milwaukee would probably can Karl before trading away their players.
Memphis probably would make some trades to get guys that play the way West and Hubie want, but I wouldn't want to do a player for player deal with them unless it was obvious we would be getting the most out of the deal.
Toronto is a team that appears should pack it in and try to start it all over. The atmosphere there must be horrible. Carter has been hurt, but it doesn't look good for them, and I feel bad for him. We don't have anything to offer for a player like Carter and the Raptors would probably only move him for a superstar.
Orlando needs a big guy and Grant Hill is ailing.
I am rambling, but too bad Jahidi sucks, we could use him to rip a team for a young guy. I guess when White gets back into playing shape he can resume his role of softening up the interior for Brown and Haywood. Should be interesting because White can be decnt with powerful putbacks and rebounds.

I am still thinking about this and want to move Jahidi for some cap space. Part of me wants to keep stack and still have enough cap room to make a serious offer to a FA.
This would be the best scenario by far. I am off of my trade Etan kick as well.

If we trade Jahidi, keeping Etan makes sense.
Getting cap room for Jahidi might be tough though. Who's got an expiring contract? And it would probably have to be to a team out West that we wouldn't be likely to face in the playoffs.
