Fool's gold

The Wizards five game streak has been accompanied by five straight +100 point games.

This type of offensive production can not and will not continue. One thing that has been getting at me is that I think the Wizards have started to losen up a little on the defensive end. I am glad the guys are starting to bond and that it is helping the team jell, if you will recall I said it would take as long as just before the All-Star break for this to happen, but they need to keep their defensive focus.

Hopefully the Wizards realize they shouldn't depend on 100pt nights for wins because again the better teams in the league that will get them blown out.

I agree with this. I've noticed that the wizards are becoming connected offensively but alittle disconnected defensively. Stack's defense lately hasn't been real good. He's floating too much looking to get out and run. MJ has been stellear but Kwame defensively hasn't been as effective guarding the basket playing too passively at times. The Bigs are fouling a tad too much. Oak, Laet and Brendan are guilty of this. Collins seems to stress nothing easy and encourages the fouling but against teams with quality bigs the foul trouble has been a factor. Overall though it hasn't been bad but slipping slightly. We still need to beat the teams we're supposed to beat .

I don't quite agree with you all. I think that their defensive intensity leads to more offensive opportunities.

Also, now that the team is jelling, there are more guys (other than MJ and Stack) capable of puuting up 20 on a given night.
