I'm putting it out there, some funny business going on with this Dixon injury.

This is what I believe is happening with the team playing well Collins doesn't want to disturb the chemistry by bring Juan back into the fold. Hughes and Lue to a lesser degree have played well. I think bringing Dixon back adds some preesure to Lue and even collins for the home fans will start that god awful chant. Dixon can contribute. But I get a sense from Collins comments about Dixon not being ready and Dixon saying he will be ready friday that there is some hesistance by Collins to add Dixon back to the mix. Adrian Dantley has said this very same thing. Coach's as well as players are superstitious. Thats why some players have there own doctors for this very reason. A trainer can slow go a player if the team feels that they want to keep that player out longer. Dixon's presence in the rotation changes things for if he plays well Collins will be tempted to leave him in the game altering Hughes and Lue's playing time.

I don't think it is that complicated. I think Juan wants to be back Friday (typical for Juan) and Collins is taking his time and bring him back Monday. If Juan came back Collins could activate him and sit him. It's not like Cardinal will be missed. I can't comment on the superstitious part though, as that is always possible.
