Official Thread: Wiz vs TOR 1/14/2003
We have to win games like these. I'll update this with more info later. Just wanted to put it out there and had a few minutes.

We get this one easily. Kwame has a great game against them. All others do their normal thing. Its time I'm afraid to bench Lue in favor of Dixon. Dixon I think is a more dogged competitor ,capable of providing more bench scoring.
I just hope all this trade conversation involving Kwame and others dies down. I like Kwame and hope he becomes a star for our team not someone else. MJ can't be willing to hurt the teams future just to make one last shot at glory . This trade talk invloving the young bigs could be especially distracting while we're in the midst of making our move. Hope it just goes away.

Toronto just found their way after beating the Timberwolves. They continue by showing it by beating us. I think we are in a little lull. We snuck one by beating the Knicks. I want to see us with some energy before I feel we can win anything.

I forgot they had signed Alston. We are definitely going down to Skip to my Lou.

Taking the Wiz here, but by no means will this be a gimme. Mo Pete gives us troubles. Lue better not get schooled by Hunter this game.
Kwame seems to have good games against the Raptors.

I heard the same thing on sportstalk 980 ... They said Stack was out for tmmw nite's game ... With knowing that ... i think that this game is not going to be an easy one ... the Wiz is going to need other ppl to step up ... Jordan has not been finishing well lately ... Hughes is going to have to play well ... and i'm getting the feeling that maybe the return of Juan Dixon in the line up might generate some offense ... Wiz win 87-84

Stack has had a strained groin the past few games. I don't think the Toronto game is a game where he needs to rest, because we are now outclassed.
Lue starts shift Hughes to SF.

I kinda think Russell gets the start with what happened to Lue the last time he started against the Pacers with 0 points. I think now the game gets much tougher BUT outclassed I just don't see it with the Raptors minus VC. Davis is back and Alston who's been good will get served up by the re-emergence of Dixon. Kwame and Brendan seem to do a good job on Davis and the JYD. I like the Wizards to win a close game.
Alston has played well but he's not a really good player and before a couple more games will drift back into the inconsistent player he's always been. Very much like Mike Wilks after a call up is back to playing more in line with his limited ability. Dixon will give Alston and Hunter fits in this Wizards victory.

You are probably right. Russell got a DNP-CD last game so he should be fresh, and could wholly replace Stack in the rotation.

What about a Juan Dixon, Larry Hughes backcourt to start the game. It won't happen but I would love to see them together.

Without stack we are probably going to be very passive. That is going to hurt. Loss Loss Loss.

With stack not there ... Wizards are a pretty bad team ... Jordan can't carry this team ... and no one is stepping up to help in the scoring ... Wiz are down by 10 ... doesn't look good ... unless they make a last minute run ... Hope for the best ... C'mon Wiz
