Juan Dixon Apology

After the Game 4 win, Juan Dixon was interviewed and he said his friend showed him a Wizards basketball message board and the people were talking down on him. Recently we have really nagged on Dixon and I think this was the board he was talking about since it is very popular. So here is my/our apology:

Dear Juan,

You are cool.

Love,

Well, he probably means the discussion boards on the Washington post (if you can find them).

Re: Juan Dixon Apology

No apologies from me. I've been saying seemingly forever, Dixon throws up one of these games every month or so, and it magically seems to make everyone (myself often included) forget about the previous dozen in which he stunk it up. When he finds a way to go more than two games in a row without jacking forced shots and gambling like a madman on defense, then I'll apologize.

That said, when he does have his monthly "on" game, it truly is a thing of beauty. Definitely appreciated what he did tonight.

Great game by Dixon, but this is one game and lets move on to the next one.

Re: Juan Dixon Apology

He goes one for ten last game, and explodes tonight. Its not that he is bad, its more a question of consistency and poor shot selection. I don't think he really needs an apology, but I would be more the happy to congratulate him on a great game.

Re: Juan Dixon Apology

The Amazingly Sucky Juan Dixon Thread

I didn't see the postgame stuff, but apparently he mentioned that thread on the RealGM board by name as the one that got his *** into gear. Would've been nice if it was us, but either way, I think it's pretty darn cool to know that players occasionally scour message boards and actually use it to fuel them.

Wow, that's cool that he visits the boards. I was at the game...man, he tore it up.

He doesn't visit the boards, some friend pointed the thread out to him so he read it. Or at least that's what he said in the postgame interview.
