All is quiet and Shareef
I haven't heard squadoosh about the Wizards and the draft. I think it is safe to assume they will not be trading Kwame for a pick because I haven't heard about them working out anyone that could go in the first round.
That being said, It makes me wonder if we have a chance to bring in Shareef. I am sure that a team like Miami will go after him, but he would get the most minutes with the Wizards.
Would be nice.

Re: All is quiet and Shareef
I heard that report about Shareef. I think he'd be a pretty good fit for us, but I question how he always seems to put up his numbers on bad teams. He almost seems like a curse. I don't know enough about his game to make a decision on this, though.

I think it would be a good fit, perhaps Portland will do a sign and trade for Kwame but that is really wishful thinking.

Re: All is quiet and Shareef
Reef is more of a half court player. He usually demands the ball in the low post. He is not slow, however he isn't fast either. I don't really see him fit in with the style we are currently playing. Plus, he won't make the Wiz instant contender, so I don't really see him coming here.

Re: All is quiet and Shareef
Yes, it probably won't put the Wizards over the Heat or the Pistons but it helps against other teams and I think they could win 50 games with that lineup. However, that is just potentially and the Wizards would have to change the way they run their offense and it may stagger their kind of play.

Re: All is quiet and Shareef
i love shareef, and i hope he does come here, cause i think we need a true power foward with low post ability to score since kwame can't do that. But in the other hand, we like to run ALOT so i dont know

Hey Ramos32, as a Vancouver Grizz fan, I have seen quite a lot of Reef's play. He is not a TRUE PF at all. He is too slow to play 3, not strong enough to bang at 4. He is not a great rebounder (but decent) and even worse as a shot blocker. That being said, Shareef is a really talented scorer who will constantly draw double team in the low post and in the paint. It'll be great for Gil and Larry for more open baskets. However, we had problems during the season and even in the play off when Larry were talking about not wanting to give the bigs the ball. So I think Shareef will interrup the chemistry of this team. He is not as good on fast breaks as Jamison, but if he comes in he'll play the 4 spot and Jamison can move back to 3. But like I said before, he doesn't really provide a low post presence other than scoring and his defense abilities is not desirable either.

After reading this, he probably isn't a good fit. He seems like a poor man's Jamison. But I'll let Ernie Grunfeld decide.

Re: All is quiet and Shareef
Reef is a soft piece of crap. I like kwame based on his man defense alone. At least he can guard the Shaq's, Sheeds, and Duncan's. Reef gives more than he gets.
Not a good fit on a team that leaks perimeter penetration.
We need Raja bell or Doug Christie. We also need a defensive minded back point.

Re: All is quiet and Shareef
Bell is someone I have my eye on. I've heard no rumor or connection between him and us, but it'd be a great move if we can swing it.
