Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
A lot of us had high hopes for Ramos when we picked him -- what do people think now? I still really like the guy, and would absolutely love to see him get a chance this season. Doesn't have to be a ton a minutes, but try to get him into the game when the opportunities present themselves.

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
yeah, im really high on this guy(like u cant tell) i honestly think hes gonna be an all star in a couple of years...
I've seen video before we drafted him and this man is hella good
now that he gained 30 lbs, he can be physical inside and hopefully gains more weight, and hes only 19 or 20 years old....

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
They should send him to the NBDL this upcoming season. Let him get a lot of PT and if he's ahead of schedule, bring him back up.

A very good idea that didn't cross my mind. Ramos is a prime example of a guy who will benefit big time from the change to the NBDL. This is definitely what we should do.

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
Ramos is gonna be rotation guy this season. By mid season we'l be dumping Etan because of his play.

Or with any luck, before mid-season.

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
Agreed, the NBDL expansion + new CBA rules make the NBDL a great environment for Ramos. I haven't seen what this guy's got, hopefully he can dispell notions that he's just another tall stiff.

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
Will he get it that quick though? His basketball acumen last season leaves me doubtful about what he will be able to contribute this season.

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
I personally don't expect him to contribute this season. I think perhaps, later in the season, he'd be capable of playing a little bit, but at that point it may not be worth the potential disruption. I feel pretty confident we'll see him in the NBDL to start the year, only brought in case of injury.

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
I think getting him some experience in the MBDL would help him out a lot.

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
If Kwame leaves, anything could happen but it isn't fair to expect him to even to contribute results this year.

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
I've heard from some Wizards people namely a scout we all know that Ramos offensively is Already much better than Haywood is already.
He's gonna be a factor next season. He has game. His problem is defensively weakside and man defense.

Re: Ramos gained 30 pounds
Ramos looks awesome physically but he did absolutely nothing in the game against the Bulls. He didn't move very well and he made Jared Rainer look like an all star. He looked pathetic trying to pick up a loose ball. He was a total non-factor in the game. He needs the NBDL. He just needs more developmental time. Don't count on him this year.
