Qualifying Offers Made to Kwame, Blake

"There is no saying that [Kwame] won't be back with us," Washington president of basketball operations Ernie Grunfeld said last month. "We'll explore all of our options. We'll meet with him and his representatives and see where we are. There is a possibility that he will be back with us."

Interesting. Does the qualifying offer have an actual contract value? I haven't seen any salary amount anywhere.

Re: Qualifying Offers Made to Kwame, Blake

I personally do not see him staying. This is just the right move in the process of getting something in return for him.

Re: Qualifying Offers Made to Kwame, Blake

I'm a Kwame guy and we'd be smart to keep him , we are a team without a pf if he goes. We really need Kwame.

I think he's gonna be back. There's a reason he has remained silent since everything went down. He could have easily clamored for a trade and trashed the Wizards. Unlike some pundits Ernie G knows talent and realizes watching the finals that players with kwame's size and atleticism are whAts required. We don't have an athlete to replace his size.

The stuff last season with EJ were both their faults. EJ is terrible anyway.

if not for inury kwame would have been fine. After a good summer of work like 2 years go I expect kwame to have a good season we have taken the big 3 as far as we can go its a maxed out idea. That can't get to the next level.

I also think we should not overpay Hughes he's Allan Houston all over again from an injury standpoint. His salary would strangle us for years to come. We'd do better with a lockdown defender in his place.

Ew... why even try? I can't see Kwame staying in Washington under any circumstances, y'all saw the crap he pulled in the playoffs. He wants out of DC.

I hope Kwame reads the board like Dixon did. Yes there are stupid fans who dis Kwame. But he hasn't got a fair chance thus far. There are loyal Kwame fans in DC!
