So if Gerald Green was off the board when the Celtics picked, he would have been picked there. The funny thing is that the Celtics already have capable wing players like Pierce and Davis but Gerald Green may be better than Martell Webster. Also, if the Wizards didn't pick Andrea Blatche, the Celtics probably would have grabbed him with the next pick. Instead the Celtics get Gomes and Lawrence Roberts. The drafting of both Green and Gomes may lead to an eventual trade with Paul Pierce but that isn't really related to this thread...

I'd like to get excited over this guy but it's hard to especially when I've never seen the guy play. Of course he must have been dominating the high school level but that really doesn't mean anything since pretty much every pro basketball player, except maybe Tyronn Lue was doing that. Still, there have been great reviews of this guy but I'm skeptical until I see results, much to due to the fact of Kwame Brown's lack of performanc, who by the way I hope for the best even if he's not in a Wizards' unimorm.

If he dominates in the summer league I'll be really exciting. I also hope this guy can play defense and work on a consistent low post game. Frankly, I'd be just happy with solid defense and good rebounds. It's one things to have the physical tools but it's another thing to get down and play hard.
