I think it's good news, as Booth is a pretty decent insurance policy at backup center for the 30 games or so that Etan will probably miss. Puts up something like 4/4 with a block in 15 minutes a night over his career. Probably won't play more than scrap minutes for the most part, but it's nice that we don't have to plug Ruffin in at center for 20 minutes a night when Etan goes down. Certainly not going to make or break our season, but I'm happy enough with him as a minimum signing.
However, I've just noticed this gives us 16 players under contract. Who's the one that's going to get the axe? The two obvious targets are Taylor and Fuller, who I'm sure have non-guaranteed deals. Since most of us were impressed with Taylor at the summer league and almost nobody even noticed Fuller, we're probably hoping it's the latter that gets the boot.
Another side note to this is that anyone with hopes of Blake returning probably shouldn't get their hopes up. We're already over the max, so signing yet another borderline guy just doesn't seem all that likely to me.
