No Hughes. Stack probably still out of sync. The Nets are good. We lose.

Nets win, let's hope that Stack can provide something to keep the game a close one.

1st quarter round up....
Jordan had a nice 1st...
1 reb. 8 points 2 stl 2 ast and drew fouls...
Stackhouse... stunk it up again... He forced up 4 shots by himself, made only one, turned the ball over while trying to make a move, threw the ball away when he drove, and wat the jump ball, he was offense first and ran away before they actually tipped it. we could've gotten dat ball, but Stack had left too early.
Laettner, and Haywood stunk it up again. Laettner keeps on thinking he's iverson by driving, but he's just a stiff. We seriously need to get rid of these guyz. They are terrible, and immobile. Datz why i like Kwame Brown a lot more. EVen Mark MAdsen is more athletic than Brendan Haywood.

That was a big win.
Jordan was abusing Jefferson off the dribble on some of those late possessions. When the Nets started to triple team him, I thought we might lose it because he was carrying us so much. When he dove on the floor, I thought we had a good chance of stealing this one.
Stackhouse obviously didn't have his touch yet again. Lets hope he finds it soon.

The place was rocking tonight fellas. MJ is just fantastic. His will is incredible. The Wizards didn't really play that well outside of MJ okay Maybe Lue was good but everyone else was just okay and stack was terrible. Right now he's struggling with some confidence but he'll be fine. Those 2 free throws were clutch.
I think we got a shot.
playoff position update.
Magic win TMac scores 52 in 3 quarters Ouch!

I expected as much from McGrady, the Bulls don't really play great defense.
What hurt was Gooden had a great game as well. If he is consistent that could be enough to sink the Wizards to 9th.

I totally agree Gooden could provide the inside scoring they need and then West really hurts us giving up Giracek who can damn near shoot as good as Miller with a little off the bounce scoring with his game. That trade maybe turn out to be critical in this race. But for some reason I think MJ is going out in a blaze of glory with nothing left in the tank. Tonight I think is just the begiining.

Games like this dont impress me. This really wasnt a team effort. It was MJ getting his jumpshot to go down....which is rare these days.
What's going to happen when MJ reverts to form and goes 8-23? We are screwed.
I also noticed Kwame got benched. No he wasnt playing great for the 4 minutes he was in there, but neither was Haywood, who was getting punked by basically the entire Nets frontcourt.
I really don't get why someone would get benched for playing poorly for a few minutes (even though he grabbed 3 boards in that stretch).
Oakley managed to pull a semi decent game out of his old *** and L8 played his usual game (where he gets fouled everytime he touches the ball but gets no calls).
Lue is a horrible decision maker for a guard...he fouled on 3 different and 1 opportnities, and once during a critical point in the game. My patience is running thin with him. On a bright note, CWhit has asked the Nugs to release him...maybe we can pick him up.
Juan was great.
Simmons was ughhh.
Etan was good when he played.
All in all, I hope we don't have to depend on MJ scoring 40 everytime we need a win, because these games come like maybe 1 out of 10 times.

I'll take the win. This team grinds it out. Hopefully Stack can pick up some slack when MJ is off. Right now Stack is still recovering from his injury. With Hughes out, it is a little more difficult. Our young guys were just painful tonight. Oakley kills me. Laettner grabbed some board so that is far from his normal.
