Could Brown be traded?

I don't know of any more displaced rookies like Gooden, but the trade has me thinking---do the wizards think Kwame has anything else, or if the experiment over? I ask because of a Wilbon (love the writing, hate the espn show he and kornyheiser do) editorial:

Quote:
And the inability to put Kwame Brown on the court for meaningful minutes is just a killer. I hate to turn this into a Kwame-bashing session, but it's impossible to properly analyze yesterday's game without dealing with the reality of him playing five minutes, scoring no points and grabbing no rebounds.

The reason you draft Brown is to at the very least help deal with a force like Dirk Nowitzki. Even a 10-point, five-rebound day from Brown would have helped offset Nowitzki's 29-point, 10-rebound performance. But Brown was so lost in the little time he was on the floor, the Wizards had to often put Jordan, at 6-6 and 40 years old, on Nowitzki, who is 7 feet and 24 years old.
I don't want his for Chicago---things are pscho enough---just thinking of the offseason and what we might see.

I think Wilbon is expressing his feelings on Kwame as they are right now as they pertain to the Wizards playoff race. He would be one of the first to say that from a future perspective Kwame needs to stay in DC.

I just don't see what good it does removing Kwame from the court as soon as he makes a mistake. all that does is make him tentative. I wonder if doug raises his kids like that.

I say if that is the way he is gonna be treated, then TRDE HIM.

I bet AMARE is not being handled that way. He is in a different environment.

I wouldn't be averse to trading Kwame if the right offer came along, but I don't see it coming along.

Trading Kwame for Curry would pretty much be a lateral move on both team's parts.

I probably see more Wiz games than I see Bulls games, and the reality is all three of those kids are in about the same place as far as development. They are:

1. Better than last year
2. Still frighteningly inconsistent.

That being said, I think I'd rather miss the playoffs playing Kwame 25 minutes a night than make them playing Oakley 25 minutes a night.

The reality is I don't think Kwame's hurting us out there that badly. The Wiz are going to make it or not on the back of Jordan and Stack, and to a much lesser extent Hughes and Laettner. Except in a few critical situations, I think Kwame vs. Oakley is at best window-dressing and at worst a detriment.

Trading Kwame would be STUPID he's just going through the trials of a young player out of highschool. Right now the Wizards are a completely frustrated team and Kwame if he doesn't immediatly make something happen gets pulled. Collins was wrong for jerking Kwame out of the game. The play that got Kwame jerked MJ threw a very bad pass that was behind Kwame instead of MJ admiting mistake he often chastizes the young players same thing happened with Haywood Mj throws a dumb difficult pass and then blames the reciever for his error. Collins then snatches that player out of the game. Only happens with the young guys.

Kwame for Curry is a joke its no lateral move because Kwame's better than Chanlder and Curry. Sure Chandler bringing stats playing for a Lottery team but if he were on the Wizards he'd get benched also. Kwame still has the best upside. Why does Kwame value to some change from game to game a good game and he's on his way a bad one and some say lets move him the word is patience I've seen enough glimpses that tell me in a couple years he's going to be a stud. He's better this year than last and he just has to keep on working . Mj and Collins just don't trust the young bigs thats all it all work out with kwame here.

Or we'll add his name to the growing list of great pf's we gave away for free.

Ben Wallace
Rasheed Wallace
Chris Webber
Kwame Brown ? I hope the heck not.

Who said anything about Curry?

I was thinking more along the lines of an established young player----Magette, Wells, the SG in GS...

Oh...and I think Chandler would get some run if he was on the Wiz. You're using last years argument.

But I didn't come here for that.

If the Wiz trade Kwame , they need their head read

The Wiz have a perfectly balanced future front court in Hayward , Kwame and Jeffries.

Why would anyone want to disrupt that ??

If you have a look around the East as it is I personally think the Wiz future front court as nominated above is potentially the most dominant in the East within 3 - 4 years

I believe this because it seems the best balanced into who can give what and the potential for physical dominance

The Bulls are right there as well but we do not have a killer 3 with a classic inside/outside game that lurks under JJ's surface

When all is said and done ... I have a belief that JJ will prove a better pick up than Skita and rate right up there with Hilario and Amare behind Yao as the premier big men from the last draft

I would much rather have JJ than Gooden, Dunleavy and Skita

In 3 - 4 years from now the Wiz will have the most dominant front court in the East followed by :

Bulls
Pacers
Nets
Hornets

That's the future of the East - emanating from the engine room

If the Bulls wind up top 3 - we have to take Milicic IMO which may really balance our front line nicely , and only then , would I be confident of saying we would be as good as if not better than the Wiz ( potentially ) given that we could roll out :

Curry, Chandler and Milicic backed up by Fizer

Mess with notions of trading Kwame at your own peril

He's a keeper
