Re: Andray Blatche has been shot
Geez, I hope he's okay. He hasn't played a game for the team yet, but a lot of of us already really like the kid. Let's just hope this is better than it sounds.

Re: Andray Blatche has been shot
Wow...
The curse even takes the form of carjackers.
I hope he's alright. Sucks that he didn't do anything wrong and the carjackers just shot him. And the article said it was one inch from hitting his heart.

Re: Andray Blatche has been shot
Ouch, I hope he makes a full recovery. People these days need to learn how to act.

Re: Andray Blatche has been shot
Man, that really sucks. I hope he gets better, and not just so he can be healthy enough to play this season. I think he has alot of potential, and could make the team and get some minutes this upcoming season.

Re: Andray Blatche has been shot
Check out the latest updates, things sound a lot better:
Quote:
Blatche was listed in good condition late Monday night and had been sitting up in bed talking with family members and visitors, The Washington Post reported.
"He's doing much better," president of basketball operations Ernie Grunfeld told the Post. "We're encouraged by his progress and we're all just thankful it wasn't worse."
Blatche's mother, Angela Oliver, told The Post-Standard of Syracuse, N.Y., that her son was shot once in the chest while riding in a car near his home in Alexandria, Va., but that the bullet did not hit any vital organs. He did not need surgery but is being treated at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Va.
"He's doing okay," Oliver told The Post-Standard. "He's breating on his own. .. He's been sedated, but he's been talking to me when he's come out of it."
|
You wish it never happened, but at the very least it doesn't sound quite as horrible as it did at first.
