Explain to me how this works under the cap. Even if this could happen why would Washington want yet another SG/SF in their lineup

I would want this trade since I am in Toronto but even the Wiz aren't that stupid. First it doesn't work under the cap rules and Kwame has future allstar written all over him in the future. Once MJ retires expect 2-3 losing years but Kwame will begin to emerge and the future that seems lost at times will be realized. Kwame has all the skills to be great and once he gets PT his confidence should lead him there.

Kwame's a stud in waiting and when MJ and Collins go he'll have the chance to develop his game. Davis is old and Mo pete is inconsistent. No trade and No thanks. we keep Kwame hopefully.

You'd have to replace Mo Pete with Vince Carter, and then we'd have to throw in Laetner and White to make the salaries match.

Maybe I'd consider that.
