No Wonder WASHINGTON IS LOSING!!
WHY DOES CARON BUTLER NOT START??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
This is ridiculas, Jarred Jefferies is so garbage, not only does Butler produce WAY more efficiently, he plays more minutes and is able to guard the better wing players in the league. I like the wizards and am growing so impatient with him not starting. He hasnt started all year, not once, and the wizards are underachieving, so why not try starting him? The Wiz are playing pretty bad so they dont really have anything to lose, Butler has not even reached his potential yet, and he just signed a contract in the summer that is definatly not "Bench Player" Money. Well will EJ come to his senses and start Butler? His talent is being wasted in limited Minutes.
DOES ANYONE ELSE NOT SEE THIS AS A MAJOR ISSUE, CAUSE I CERTAINLY DO!

Re: No Wonder WASHINGTON IS LOSING!!
Believe me, it's every bit as insane in the eyes of us Wizards fans. As I posted in our last game thread, the way EJ is handling Butler all by itself is enough such that I want him out of here. Butler is amazingly efficient in the minutes he is given, yet he seemingly can't get a break. He should be averaging at least the 35 MPG he was getting last year, and in all likelihood, even more than that.

Re: No Wonder WASHINGTON IS LOSING!!
I really don't understand that either. Jeffries brings nothing to the table. Caron has star ability and could be a 20 ppg scorer if given the proper minutes. I really believe that. I expected him to have a much bigger impact than he's had thus far.
And what's with the Wizards in general? Not that it breaks my heart that the Wiz are struggling, seeing as how they're in the Heat's division, but I'm puzzled as to how Washington has been this bad. I thought there might be a slight drop-off without Hughes, but I still thought you guys would be a playoff team. I watched you guys against the Pacers last week and that was the worst defense I've seen played by an NBA team in quite some time.
Is it that the team doesn't have any good individual defenders or is this a team defense i.e. coaching issue? Is Jordan on the hot seat yet?

Re: No Wonder WASHINGTON IS LOSING!!
Eddie Jordan just has no idea how to fit the right defensive schemes with these players. It's his 3rd year here and the guys still look lost on defense. It's been obvious that whatever he's been doing for two years is not working, and for that reason he should be fired.
The worst part is his lack of a set rotation and set roles. Outside of Arenas/Jamison, nobody else knows how many minutes their going to play or how many shots their going to get on a given night.
Caron Butler has been horribly misused. He's been about as efficient as a perimeter player can be and still isn't getting the big minutes he deserves.

You guys bring up some good points, but it's not all EJ's fault. Butler should start. Rotations need to be defined better. But Arenas needs to stop being so selfish.

Thats also partly EJ's fault and what about Jamison. Caron should be getting 35 mins a game.

Re: No Wonder WASHINGTON IS LOSING!!
Everything is partly the coach's fault, no doubt about that. EJ can't win on this forum though....doesn't matter if we have a great year and win 45 games or if we are struggling. I try to put things in perspective. I'm not a big EJ fan myself and wouldn't be opposed to seeing him go, but I like to balance things out.

Re: No Wonder WASHINGTON IS LOSING!!
Oh yea, definitely not all on EJ. Like I've said in other threads, getting rid of him doesn't automatically make the team better. It just gives gives us the possibility to get better. The way I see it ...
With EJ: the team may get worse, the team may stay the same, the team won't get better.
Without EJ: the team won't get worse, the team may stay the same, the team may get better.
