Re: Quotes from Antawn Jamison
Well he mention there are some tough guys on this team, I hope he doesn't include himself, he has to be one of the softest starting PF's in the league.

Eighteen double-doubles on the season so far. You can call him soft if you like, but he's sure doing the job up proper. Not many power forwards are doing as well as he is this year. Face it, the guy's a Beast.

Re: Quotes from Antawn Jamison
A beast? you must be kidding? Jamison is scoring 18ppg on 18 shots (42%), he doen't even demand a double team because all he doe's is stand out on the perimeter and shoot jumpers, thats just great coming from our so called "Allstar" PF. Jamison doesn't terrorise other PF's because of his weak defense. Ill give you the rebounding but everything else hes been pretty much a dissapointment this season. Jamison doens't play in the Paint and thats what I call a weak PF.

Nobody's saying he's Karl Malone. For this team, with its setup, he's a Beast. Those rebounds you concede and then dismiss so easily are important. Can't argue with his points either, especially when Arenas' shot isn't falling.

And this is one of the reasons the Wizards is nothing more than just a .500 ballclub. Jamison is basicly is a perimeter player that happens to be playing PF, yes he gets his rebounds but how often does he block shots? how often does he stops his man from scoring in the paint? how often does he help on defense? how often does he goes after loose balls? how often does he hustle's period? lot of things are being overlooked besides points and rebounds. This is the same guy we're talking about that got benched a few games for his lack of effort. I just don't see whats so special about him.

Why don't you ask Dirk Nowitski? You just described him perfectly. Then think again about how important Jamison might be.

Nowitzki is virtually an unguardable player who shoots 47% from the field and 42.3% beyond the arc. In comparison, Jamison shoots 42.6%, his field goal percentage is only .3% better than Norwitzki's 3 point shooting.
Jamison has some intangibles like creating his own shot and is a better rebounder, especially on the defensive end. But without a doubt, Nowitzki is far superior on the offensive end, even though they seem to be equally futile on defense.

Re: Quotes from Antawn Jamison
Jamion is butter soft hasn't contested a shot in 8 years. only strength is the quickness at which he gets his shot off. avoids contact offensively at all costs. Solid on boards though.

Re: Quotes from Antawn Jamison
Jamison is soft, period! hes nowhere near the level of Dirk Norwitski, your talking about a top 5-7 player (Norwitski) to Jamison probably wouldn't even crack the top 30. Like the previous poster said, Jamison avoids all contact all the
time at any cost.
