True, but he's been a malcontent almost since the day he came from LA. He shoots his clutch threes, which is nice, but that's ALL he does that's positive. Letting him go in peace with his cumulative paycheck gets his poison out of the locker room and frees up a roster space....which apparently they're using for PJ Ramos. (I'm not sure why you replace a point guard with a center, but hey, I don't make the choices in DC.)
Anyway, sometimes it's better just to cut loose a problem with no return on the investment than to endure the problem for longer than you have to. Chucky may end up with the Knicks like he wanted--but my bet is he ends up nowhere. Hope he's saved his pennies over the years.
