wizards win against Orlando

Wizards won their first summer league game

From looking at the box score Jefferies had a pretty good game 10 pts 8 rbs 4 asst
Etan Thomas with another strong game ...
and Bobby Simmons had a great game 22pts 7 rbs

I'm happy that the wizards got one under their belt

Kwame Brown will get his chance to play tmmw nite against Minn.

Boxscore of game

Well it's about time!

But what's up with Juan? He continues to struggle, shooting only 5/14 from the floor, 1/4 from the charity stripe, ending up with 12 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 turnovers.

He contributed a little bit from every aspect from the boxscore, but he's still not shooting the way he should be.

Juan Dixon

Bud Boy,

I wouldn't be overly concerned about Dixon at this point. It seems rookies spend a lot of time thinking too much early on and not enough time just playing. Keep in mind, they are also trying JD at point some, a new position. The kids a winner. Geez, on the Bulls board at another site, you would think Dixon has really lit it up, they think he has played like the second coming of Magic Johnson. One guy even said he reminds him of a young Maurice Cheeks If there's an NBA pg Dixon can play like, I believe it will be Sam Cassell. Cassell is more of a shoot first pg, not the classic distributor. They are both great competitors and have similar builds.

I'm pleased that Bobby Simmons put up 16 shots. Hopefully he can fill the role played by Nesby this year. If he works he could be a better player than Nes.
