Trade with Dallas?

Granted, if Dallas lost that Game 7 yesterday, their roster would've been torn to shreds by Mark Cuban. True, they won, but they've fallen apart several times this season (inability to beat the Lakers, lost after leading by 30, almost lost the Portland series) so Mark Cuban may still be inclined to shake things up.

Why not send Jerry Stackhouse and Jahidi White to Dallas for Nick Van Exel and, say, Adrian Griffin?

White would bring the inside toughness Dallas so desperately needs, and Stack would start at the three, where Dallas currently has no one. Dallas is reluctant to use NVE and Nash together because they're so small. Nick could come in and run the point for us, and still score 20 a night. We don't need Jahidi, we've got Haywood, Thomas, and Kwame, who should play 30-40 minutes a night next season. A player like Adrian Griffin would have to be added to make it work, and he is a serviceable small forward, he'll be better than Bryon Russell. We could then put Hughes at the 2.

Dallas, who is so high over the cap, may accept this because both Stack and Jahidi have contracts that run out in two seasons. Nick has three years left, and Griffin's is out, so maybe they would send us a player like Antoine Rigadeau, who's first season was a bust. Stack's sour attitude and recent illusions of believing that this team will be better without Jordan, (which is not true unless Kwame suddenly become a 25-10 guy) have made me think of ways to dump him.

You gotta imagine Nelson is drooling at the thought, as Peja could help him inch closer to his dream of averaging 300ppg.
Should the Lakers sign Latrell Sprewell?

Sometimes they have no one at the 3, sometimes they have 2 great players there. There has been times where Dirk has played the 3, with Raef and Bradley in the lineup. At times, Finely has played the 3 with NVE and Nash in the backcourt. To me, that sounds killer at those times. Granted there have been times when they play Griffen or Ed, but that is for defensive, not otherwise... they have enough offense. What is the point of adding another shooter / slasher / high scorer?

I honestly doubt they will trade NVE after his game 7, and the fact he was ok coming off the bench. I didn't hear him cause much problems about it.
