Trade Idea. Utah-Washington
With Miles and Brewer rising up it's only a matter of time before Gordon Giricek is on his way out. So my question to you wizard fans is would you possibly be interested in this trade.
Utah Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Gordan Giricek
6-5 SG from Croatia (Foreign)
10.6 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.7 apg in 25.8 minutes
Incoming
Brendan Haywood
7-0 C from North Carolina
7.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.6 apg in 23.8 minutes
Change in team outlook: -3.3 ppg, +4.0 rpg, and -1.1 apg.
Washington Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Brendan Haywood
7-0 C from North Carolina
7.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.6 apg in 23.8 minutes
Incoming
Gordan Giricek
6-5 SG from Croatia (Foreign)
10.6 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.7 apg in 25.8 minutes
Change in team outlook: +3.3 ppg, -4.0 rpg, and +1.1 apg.
Now im not really sure on how much Haywood plays or how much you guys need shooting. But I was trying to think of a team that didn't seem to have very many SG's and I thought of the Wizards and the Jazz want another bigman and thought of Haywood. So just give me your thoughts on thsi deal.

No. Haywood is worth more than Giricek. The Wiards may not have many SGs, but they also aren't deep in the center position either.

lol... i think its funny people feel the need to post incoming/outgoing for each team when there is only 2 players in the trade

I only did that so it shows the breakdown for each team after the trade.

No way. Hayes was a good scorer when he was healthy. If he stays healthy this season I would rather keep him than Giricek.

Re: Trade Idea. Utah-Washington
A good defensive center for a dime-a-dozen, mediocre, no-defense shooting guard.
Somehow, I think Washington will pass.

Re: Trade Idea. Utah-Washington
Gira is a better shooter then Hayes. Hayes i better at driving and scoring overall. But gira is a much better shotter then Hayes.

Re: Trade Idea. Utah-Washington
Jarvis Hayes has a pretty good jump shot which is comparable to GG. Hayes is better at driving, defense, and rebounding. GG also has an ugly contract.

Giricek shot a better overall percentage last season (still not good - 43 percent), but Hayes shot jumpers at a better clip.

Re: Trade Idea. Utah-Washington
There is no way the Disabled List will trade Hayes. He's far too valuable. Someone has to keep Etan company. Pretty sure the DL will extend his deal next summer.
