Did wiz screw up by not getting anything for Jefferies?

I heard the wizard wanted stevenson incase they couldn't keep jefferies. Fine, but stevenson can opt out next year, and you have nothing to show for it and jefferies is gone.

Couldn't the wizards have gotten something for Jefferies (draft picks, TE... i don't know what NY has to offer)?

What would they have gotten with caps matching? An expiring and a 2nd? QRich and a 2nd? Don't see much the Knicks could have given that the caps would have matched for

I dislike every player on the Knicks. Not one of them entices me into any type of trade. I'd rather have Michael Ruffin than Stephon Marbury or Steve Francis. So there's no trade that I would of been happy with. And I'm just happy to get rid of Jeffries.

The Wizards did get something. Relief against the Luxury Tax threshold.

The only valuable player the knicks have is Frye. Other than him I would not take anyone on the team. Maybe we could have got a second round pick, but personally I think our roster is pretty deep and not that in need of just grabbing draft picks.

Mo Taylor's expiring contract for Jeffries and Etan Thomas would have suited me just fine, but the Wiz were hardlybargaining from a position of strength.

They also don't seem to be in the hurry I would be to get financially sane, since they're adding bad contracts (Songaila) when I'd be gitting rid of them.
