Re: 11/1 :: Wizards @ Cavs
First game of the season!
If you're wondering, I'm continuing the tradition of our former moderator, MJG. I liked his format and thought it was one of the most unique and organized game threads. I might add a little bit of my flavor a little later in the season. I also used the 2006-07 preseason stats for today's games, rather than just using 0 for everything.
I think we keep this game close the entire game, but fall at the end when LeBron travels in the paint and scores the gaming winning shot...
Just kidding! Since it's the first game of the season, I predict a win!

Very nice looking game thread.
I love the LeBron versus Gilbert games [less commonly referred to as the Cavaliers versus Wizards games]. They always seem to bring out the best in each other.

I will be looking at Deshawn and seeing how many faux hard bows Etan throws.
This should be competitive. but who is going to check LeBron? That is the big question.

Re: 11/1 :: Wizards @ Cavs
Caron and Hayes is my guess, so that probably means LeBron will light us up for 35/7/7. I think it will be a competitive game for the most part but the 1st game on the road at pumped up Quicken Loans arena, its not going to be easy.

Re: 11/1 :: Wizards @ Cavs
So far it has been a decent game.
Etan so far has showed that he deserves to be center over Haywood. He's making shots, getting rebounds, and not losing the ball. I think EJ made a good choice by starting him.
Gil is having an off night, especially now that he's in foul trouble. I think he'll bounce back in the second half with a solid 14-16 points.
Caron and Jamison are looking good. Caron is getting in the passing lane and stealing some balls.
Defense is looking good, getting hands in the face.
Let's hope the second half will go in our favor.

Re: 11/1 :: Wizards @ Cavs
Oh well, Arenas did not shoot the ball well and you have to give Cleavland its props. But I am encouraged what the Wizards got out of Etan Thomas and Caron throughout the game. Arenas needs to hit more shots but he did have 10+ assists. Hopefully, the Wizards can build from this.

Re: 11/1 :: Wizards @ Cavs
Im not worried about Arenas, he will be okay, just overexcited for this game. At least he didn't overforce his offense and got the others more involved. Props to Etan for a hell of a game (he accually played smart). This is what the Wizards want and need from the bigs on a consistant basis, toughness inside though Brendan looked discouraged on the bench. Caron was good and Jamison and Hayes played ok, Stevenson so.. so its still early. A 3 point loss in a tough Arena with Arenas off and Hughes shooting an unusual lightsout, I think we will be ok.

Re: 11/1 :: Wizards @ Cavs
I really believe you guys will end up being better than Cleveland this year. You guys actually played a little bit of defense for a change. Gil will bounce back with about 40 on Saturday. But Caron looked great and even Etan Thomas looked good. If you guys can stay healthy, you can have a pretty good year.
The Southeast is looking a whole helluva lot better now with Orlando being good. We now have three real quality teams in the division and Charlotte is just a couple of years away, IMO.
