Re: 11/4 :: Wizards vrs. Celtics
I say we take this one at home. The Celtics have lost their first two games, at home nonetheless. We played a good game, losing by only 3 on the road, with our star point guard scoring 7 points. I think we come in real energized and pumped and take a big lead going into the half and end up winning by a good amount.
And how about PP34's stats? Only through one game, but those are impressive stats.

Re: 11/4 :: Wizards vrs. Celtics
I wrote this in the Celtics game thread:
The Wizards, led by Gilbert Arenas, their explosive and exciting point guard, have a decent starting lineup. Starting off with Arenas, who is a terrific scoring point guard who can efficiently hit volume jumpers and also dribble-penetrate with the best of them, the Wizards can score. DeShawn Stevenson is a marginal starter that signed for the minimum after being offered millions more at Orlando. At the small forward position Caron Butler starts. He has always reminded me of a Paul Pierce-lite player. He can shoot and draw fouls using body contact off the dribble. At the power forward position is perhaps the Wizards second best player in Antawn Jamison. Jamison is a very good scorer and he is versatile as he can play either a post game or a face-up game. Etan Thomas is a decent rebounder and post defender.
The Wizards are a better team, but these games are always fun and three of the four games from last season were decided in the final second with two games won a the foul line by Gilbert Arenas and one game won because of Paul Pierce's fourth-quarter heroics, including a memorable buzzer-beater to win. |
Is the Wizards information accurate? I don't catch too many of their games and my thoughts are based on the few games that I manage to see. Anyways, it should be an exciting game.

Pretty close, Premier. Jamison doesn't have a post game though, its almost exclusively from the perimeter.
I see the Wiz taking this one, but Pierce probably gets 37.

The intro you had today was pretty good. Gilbert coming out in a boxer's robe was pretty interesting.

Antawn Jamison is just a beautiful offensive player. I really love watching him play. They arent running enough plays for him against the Celts.

Re: 11/4 :: Wizards vrs. Celtics
The Wizards are basically basing most of their offense tonight on easy uncontested layups after stripping the Celtics of the ball or deflecting passes.
They have to have like 15 fast-break points.

Re: 11/4 :: Wizards vrs. Celtics
We have to be one of the dumbest teams in the league in closing out games. 2 mins left up 10 and we are playing like we are down 10. Daniels and Arenas are rushing things.

I loved the boxer robe! Great game by Gil tonight. I'm starting to think Deshawn is a good fit for us as well.

We win but the defense still needs improvement. Way too many open 3's we gave up.
