Re: Centers Thomas, Haywood Reportedly in Recent Fight!!!!
I think the Wizards do not have to trade either center, unless they get a quality center in return. Etan Thomas has been productive as of late, and Haywood is efficient in limited minutes and is the best defender on the team. Competition will make them both players even if they get a few bruises from each other along the way.

I read that Haywood bodyslammed Etan and pulled two of his dreads out after Etan threw a suckerpunch at him. Somehow I find that hard to believe.

Washington Wizards centers Etan Thomas and Brendan Haywood were involved in a fight Thursday at the team's arena, according to a report in The Washington Post.
Two team sources told the Post that Thomas approached Haywood over comments made by Haywood's agent, Andy Miller, who was critical of coach Eddie Jordan's decision to start Thomas over Haywood.
"My concern is that this is based on personal issues rather than professional ones," Miller said when the decision was made.
The report said Thomas began arguing with Haywood over the comments, then threw a punch. Haywood responded by slamming Thomas to the ground and tearing out two of his dreadlocks.
Teammates separated the two, and both refused comment after Monday night's loss to the Orlando Magic.

I'm sorry but Haywood is a punkass *****. He was probably talking **** about Thomas to his agent. I also remember back when Kwame was with the Wizards, Haywood would give Kwame **** all the time. Well now, karma has got you Haywood. Go die.

Re: Centers Thomas, Haywood Reportedly in Recent Fight!!!!
I knew this would happen sooner or later. Haywood doesn't seem like he gets along with any of the players very well. During free throws he doesn't slap anyone hands. And by the way he plays, it's evident he wants the ball in his hands only.
Etan has earned his starting spot in the first three games. He's averaging 11.7PPG, 8.7RPG, 3BPG, and 1SPG in 26.3MPG. He's shooting 76% and is averaging more offensive than defensive rebounds. That's impressive for a guy who had been slowly being taken out of the rotation since the 03-04 season. He's averaging career numbers in pretty much every category.
Haywood is averaging career lows in every category. He's being more selfish than usual, attempting to prove something to the coach and his teammates. It's obviously not working out. I wouldn't mind putting him in some trade rumors to see what kind of offers we could get.

Re: Centers Thomas, Haywood Reportedly in Recent Fight!!!!
I would not mind trading Haywood and I think we could get something for him as he's got a lot of positives. He's a young 7-footer, blocks a lot of shots, and really could be a top 10 center in the right situation. I'm still not sold on Etan, though, as he's never really shown any consistency, but hopefully he will this season.

As a Bulls fan, I'd offer up Mike Sweetney and Malik Allen's expiring contracts.
As a Wiz fan, I'd seriously consider it. The Wiz need to first consider whether Etan is really who they want manning the post (I have my doubts), but Haywood probably needs to go.

I really like Mike Sweetney but doubt the Wizards would trade if Haywood had his heart and work ethic you wouldnt trade him.
