I'll be going to this game tonite. I go back to college tomorrow so this is a good "going-away" gift. I just hope we win and Gilbert puts on a good show.

Re: 11/25 :: Wizards vs. Pistons

Just got back. It was a pretty ugly game on the Wizard's parts. A lot of the players were throwing up terrible shots. I mean shots that would make Screech look like MJ. Somehow we had the lead in the first quarter on the hot shooting of Arenas, but that eventually was lost with the help of Prince and Billup's three pointers. The Wizards would always come in within reach of getting the lead, but then throw up an ill-advised shot or turn it over. The Pistons made baskets and free throws when they needed to and that's why they won.

One thing I did notice is Arenas' playmaking ability has really increased this year. He's finding guys that he wouldn't even know was on the court last year.

Re: 11/25 :: Wizards vs. Pistons

I don't know how much his playmaking (Arenas) increased but watching on tv it looks like its hasn't improved at all. He had 7 turnovers, mostly onforced, Billups stripped him clean once and the rest were bad passes and carrying violations. The entry pass to Brendan that clanked off the backboard was ridiculous, speaking of Brendan whats a 7'er doing double pumping on his shots near the basket? Talk about being soft.

Jarvis Hayes needs to be sent packing or benched. All he does is shoot and rarely makes shots, he offers no rebounding, assist or steals so he is pretty useless, I think Blatche should get his minutes he cant be no worse.

Overall this team is soft besides Etan and Butler. With a soft coach that doesn't know defense. Its going to be a long season for the Wizards.
