Re: Wizard's All-Star Thread
I went on a merging/deleting frenzy and had to fix the board, haha.
Anyways, any thought on the activities tonite? I usually don't watch the celebrity game, but the Rookie/Sophomore game is fun to watch most of the time.

Re: Wizard's All-Star Thread
I actually found the celebrity game pretty hilarious. The Grizzlies mascot and an announcer joined the West team and everyone just kept putting up bricks. The funny thing is I've never heard of the MVP. I don't think Mike O'Koren ever stood a chance of coaching the Rookie Team to victory. They're playing no defense whatsoever and are watching Monta Ellis and David Lee have a dunk contest. Also they just isolate one guy on offense and watch him shoot a brick. They're down by about thirty at the end of the first half and I see them losing by about 50. However, it has been fun to watch.

Did you have the mute button on when you watched the game?

Re: Wizard's All-Star Thread
The celebrity game was horrificcccccc. I couldn't stand to hear one more interview. I saw more interviews than I did of the game. It was ridiculous. By the way, anyone else notice that the lights seemed so much more dark in the Celebrity game.
The Rookie vs. Sophomore game was actually fun to watch. It's not meant to be highly competitive, just good fun for the players and fans.
3P contest is tonite! Can't wait to see how Gilbert does.
Oh, and I suggest everyone to go to this site and predict order of 3P contest. You get an autographed program signed by Gilbert. That'd be cool.

Re: Wizard's All-Star Thread
So, who does everyone have in the activities tonite?
I got Green in the Slam Dunk, Arenas in the 3P, and DWade in the Skills Contest. I don't know anything about the Shooting Stars event.

Re: Wizard's All-Star Thread
Arenas is runner-up again.
If he would of beat Kapono's 24 then I would of won the autographed Arenas brochure. Sooooo close!

Re: Wizard's All-Star Thread
Atleast Gilbert didn't embarrass himself. He had a real nice first round. I liked his 1-handed shots on the last rack.
The best thing about tonight was Bavetta diving across halfcourt. Did anyone else see his knee got all cut open and was bleeding?
The dunk contest was ok. Nate kind of ruined it at the end and didn't make it much of a contest. I would have liked to see Dwight make it to the 2nd round against Green.

Yeah, I saw the cut on Dick's knee also. He didn't even seem to care. He's one hard old dude. I think if the race was to 5+ laps, then Dick would of won. Charles was dead after the race.
I was disappointed at the judges for giving Dwight such a low score on the dunk in which he put the sticker on the top of the backboard. That was insane height and creativity. MJ was hating on all the dunks except for the last one by Green, which wasn't worth 10 in my opinion. Nate surprised me with his dunks. I thought he would get out in first round because he couldn't use the "I'm small, give me 10's" factor, but he put on a good show. Tyrus Thomas was just garbage. He didn't show any emotion or creativity. He was just in it for the money.
Fun Saturday to watch. Now to the real game tomorrow! Let's hope Arenas and Butler play well and come out with a win for Eddie Jordan and the East.
