Keys to the Game- Crash The Boards – The Wizards have been a pretty good rebounding team with guys like Songalia and Ruffin coming back, and Blatche developing to go along with Thomas and Haywood, and the Blazers are going to be without Randolph, their leading rebounder, so they must be able to grab that board on both ends.
- Cool Off The Hibachi – Ok so you guys held him to 9 points...when the team was without Jamison. Antawn's a huge part to our offense, more importantly helping spread out the defense and floor giving Arenas more room and single coverage. Look for Arenas to cut down on his man to the basket and shoot lights out like he has been doing the last 3 games, unless the Blazers focus on him.
- Defend The Perimeter – The Wizards are a pretty damn good 3 point shooting team when they get the open look. Guys like Roger Mason coming off the bench can change the momentum of the game, and whenever you have Jamison and Arenas outside, you know you gotta be aware.
- Push The Tempo - The Wizards as a team should look to get an opportunity to run at every moment available, wether if it's off a rebound, or steal, they need to get earn every inch to get that extra point.
- Bench Production - The Wizards are a pretty stacked team on the bench when you look at it and it will be important for them to contribute espicially since you have a guy like Caron Butler out. Jarvis Hayes needs to start making his shots, Daniels running the offense smoothly, Mason to change the momentum with his 3, and Songalia to keep scoring inside.
- 50 This Time Around? - If Gilbert Arenas wants revenge on Nate McMillan, GA will need to be patient the entire game. He can't afford to start chucking up shots, then look back at it when they lose. I'll take GA scoring 10 with a win, rather than GA scoring 100 with a loss. GA will need to take it slow, drive to the hole, get to the line and use all 48 minutes wisely to get to 50.

This is definately a very winnable game, but I'm still worried. Hopefully we can start this west coast trip with a win. I'm not looking for Gil to put up 50, it would be nice if he had like 30 and 10 assists. I'm looking for another good game from Blatche and hopefully Deshawn will fill in nicely for Caron also.

Re: 3/20: Wizards @ Blazers
I also agree this should be a win. Arenas and Jamison are playing great basketball right now. Even with Caron out I feel that we'll take this.
I wonder if Blatche will start this game as well? Eddie Jordan said he would start the player who he felt matched up with the opposing team. Although Blatche matches up with pretty much every forward in the league considering his size and length.
Just saw that Randolph is out also, so this should be a cakewalk (although it rarely is for the Wizards).

Re: 3/20: Wizards @ Blazers
We need to get the road trip off to a good start so we gotta try to win by double digits tonight. I hope that happens, but who knows. Gilbert is coming off a strong game and I think he'll play well again tonight. I don't he will score 50, but he'll get 36 in a 106-89 Wizards victory.

Re: 3/20: Wizards @ Blazers
This game keeps getting scarier. If I remember correctly, we got blown out by this team in DC earlier this season and since Randolph isn't playing, we're gonna slack off and someone like Jarrett Jack or Ime Udoka will have a crazy game. I'm hoping they prove me wrong.

Blah, Gil was too busy playing with the fans rather than playing the game. That last shot he took to tie the game was just awefull, it wasn't even close to going in.

Re: 3/20: Wizards @ Blazers
Ugh. Another team with their best player not playing and we still seem to find a way to lose it. Arenas played awful besides a few nice passes. He tried way too hard to fight the crowd and score a lot. It ended up slowing our offense down. Aldridge looked like a veteran out there thanks to our defense. And that shot by Arenas was pretty bad. He should of just pulled up and drained a three like he used to do in the first half of the season. Now all he does is drive and try to create some contact.

Re: 3/20: Wizards @ Blazers
Arenas put too much pressure on himself for this one. What a horrible loss. Now I just hope we can bounce back and win tonight at Seattle. I'd take a split on a road back-to-back any day of the week so that'd make up for last night.

That's what I was thinking at first, but he hadn't seen a jumper go in all night so I guess he figured he should drive. He pulled up a bit early too I think cause he didn't think the refs would give him a call at the basket. His mind was messing with him all night.
