Wizards open to trading Antonio and Etan
Washington Post's Ivan Carter is reporting that the Wizards are looking to trade Etan Thomas and Antonion Daniels.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...062002462.html
We knew Etan was a target of getting traded but this is the first I have heard Daniels's name thrown in there as well. That is about $12 million in salary. Makes you wonder about the possiblities. Not necessarily Kobe of KG, but there has to be something else out there we can get. Plenty of teams need a veteran PG. I think there is opportunity here.

Re: Wizards open to trading Antonio and Etan
Antonio will draw some MAJOR interest. Detroit, Miami, Cleveland, and Atlanta are at the top of my mind.

Cav's might be losing Varejao.
How about Daniels and Etan for Hughes?
The Wizards did try and sign Hughes for the contract he is on now. He can excel int he Wizards offense. But can he fit with Butler?

Re: Wizards open to trading Antonio and Etan
I'd hate to see Daniels go...he had a great stretch when Arenas was out...But heck, we need to get rid of Etan Thomas. He's pretty much garbage...

Hell no, the Cavs can keep Hughes' contract and fragile ***.

Re: Wizards open to trading Antonio and Etan
If the Wizards trade Daniels they better get a PG in the deal unless they want Taylor to be the Backup. Etan who cares let him go for a bag or groceries.

AD, #16 for Zach Randolph, Dickau, 2nd rd pick?
or Butler, AD for Zach, Dickau (or Jones), 2nd rd pick

Re: Wizards open to trading Antonio and Etan
I would do the AD for Zach trade you mention, but not Butler. I like AD, but if we can get something good for him, we should make the move. He can probably get more minutes elsewhere too.
I've thought about having Hughes back and as good as he would be back in DC, he's just not reliable enough. If some scenario came up where we got him on the cheap and could have him come off the bench to help keep him from injury and/or diminish the impact if he were to get injured, I'd do it though.

Re: Wizards open to trading Antonio and Etan
Daniels could start for at least six or seven teams immediately.Only logical reason I could see for moving him is his value at this point in time. His age aside he'd probably be the best short term point guard available through either trade or draft right now. Both LA teams,Cleveland,ATL,Memphis,Milwaukee,Portland...A ll sorts of teams would really be interested in him even before you start with contending teams that would want depth at the point.

Re: Wizards open to trading Antonio and Etan
I think that your team should trade both Etan and Haywood for Brad Miller.

Re: Wizards open to trading Antonio and Etan
Etan and Haywood will almost assuredly not be dealt together. That would be a debacle.

Re: Wizards open to trading Antonio and Etan
passing up a chance to get Brad Miller b/c we only want to get rid of one of the two scrubs would be the real debacle

Pretty much agreed that no team would want those two together, but you can easily trade Haywood for some other big, like Nazr Mohammed or Tony Battie.
And yes, Brad was awful, just like everyone in that Sacramento team... But he is a good player and would be a major improvement to this Wiz team.
