Jamison for Gasol?
I hear Memphis is looking to move Gasol. What do you guys think of trading Jamison for him? They both have big contracts with Jamison being an expiring contract and Gasol having 3 years so it could be a regrettable move down the road, but I think it might be a good idea to get a 7-footer who is a better rebounder than Jamison and scores equally well. Also a side benefit would be that we could then likely entice Navarro to finally come over here since he is best friends with Gasol. I was actually thinking of Navarro when I thought of this trade cause I'd like his shooting off the bench.

Re: Jamison for Gasol?
Of course the Wizards would move Jamison for Gasol thats a no brainer. he could be the missing piece for a title run a legit big kinda soft but a low post scorer who blocks shots weakside something Jamison has never done.

Re: Jamison for Gasol?
Memphis would want more than a lot more Antawn Jamison though.

Re: Jamison for Gasol?
How about Jamison and Etan for Gasol and Swift?
I checked it in the trade machine at ESPN and it worked.
With the recent addition of Darko, I don't think Swift is needed much in Memphis anymore. He's been somewhat of a failure everywhere he's been, but he's still full of potential. Both Gasol and Swift would bolster our front court greatly. Whereas Jamison gives Memphis an inside and outside threat and Etan brings energetic defense and hustle plays.

Re: Jamison for Gasol?
I really like that Jamison/Etan for Swift/Gasol. I'd hate to see Jamison go, but Gasol's another good scorer who plays better D than Antawn. Swift would also give us a nice addition to the defensive end.

Re: Jamison for Gasol?
I doubt that Memphis will deal Gasol for just Jamison... neither I believe that Memphis would do this deal, even if you change Etan with Haywood.
But I think that they'll take Etan or Haywood for Swift alone. Personally, I think that Stro is a good fit for this team, but I still rather see Etan and Haywood moved in a three-team trade for Brad Miller.
As for Jamison, your team should try to get into the Indiana-LA Lakers discussion, and try to bring Odom to this team while sending Jamison to Indy, O'Brien love big three point shooters like Jamison, who can also thrive in Indy system. Plus, Jamison is an expiring contract. Odom may get his desired extension here.

Jamison for Odom really doesn't help the Wizards considering that he's a tweener like Jamison. If a three team deal was at all possible, then the Wizards should just deal through the Pacers to acquire Jermaine O'Neal.

That's also doubtful because Memphis doesn't have the means to sign JCN, if they traded for his rights.

Re: Jamison for Gasol?
Memphis is going to want a lot for Gasol. Jamison wouldn't quite cut it.

Re: Jamison for Gasol?
I'd give up Jamison and Pech along with Blatche if they wanted.
You can keep Swift, he doesnt have anymore potential he is what he is. A light in the pants tall man with very little skills and somewhat depleting athleticsm.

Re: Jamison for Gasol?
Its a shame how much Jamison gets underrated. That being said, I dont see why Memphis would do this deal when they could obviously get more out of Gasol.
