But Sam Smith reported in today's Chicago Tribune that there's a buzz about the Wiz getting involved in the Kobe Sweepstakes and I've since heard that there's legit smoke here. We'll have to see what Kobe thinks of sharing a city with the president, since he wields more power than anyone in the NBA with the only active no-trade clause.

Gilbert for Kobe is the only way I'd do the trade.

Trading two young players for a 29 year-old who can't get much better than he already is right now is a bad trade in my opinion. Blatche has too much potential to deal him away so soon, even for one of the greatest players of all time.

I'm like f22 I don't believe the source but you have to add the players to match up the salaries. It would probably involve Gil/Blatche/picks for Kobe. Doubt that it happens though theres only a few teams Kobe wants to play for Dallas/Chicago. Washington would also consider getting a young PG from L.A. since Washington would only be down to Daniels as PG.

From the Wizards insider; pretty much stating that an Arenas for Kobe deal is not in the works.

that would be weird. i just moved here from CA just over a month ago.. kobe would be following me.
