Don't know if anyone else thinks this way but I do. I sick of hearing about his stupid predictions and never backing them up. Yeah he got one right last year by scoring 50+ aginst Phoenix but has failed miserably ever since. It was cute then but its getting old, hes only making himself look foolish every time he predicts something, like beating Boston in their home opener than proceeded to get his and the rest of the Wizards a-sses kicked. Gilbert from a fan of yours just STFU already, play some defense and make some shots and win some games, let your play do the talking.

I don't really care that much about his predictions. I just want him to play well.

I don't see why its a big deal, but it is annoying sometimes as Gil is a (self promoter). Like f22 said as long as he plays well i'm fine, if he doesn't than Blah......

Just ignore everything he says. That should be the general policy about the guy anyway. Funny how he'll have a terrible shooting night right after every prediction though.

I usually do, my post was more less a "rant", venting out from last nights game. I just don't see his purpose other than (self promoting or pimping) that really doesn't benefit him or this team.

^Exactly. Talk all that smack and incite other teams to play even harder. Why not just let sleeping dogs lie?

If a team actually plays harder because Gilbert says something, than those teams are going to have problems in the future. I think the Celtics would came out with 100% effort like they did last night, even if Gilbert did not make those comments

I just think he wasts more time posturing instead of displaying the sorta leadership that makes you a champion. He gets mad at slights from other coaches or players yet he doesn't wanna be seen as a leader of his own team. He says he's not interesed in leadership if your best player says those things you have no chance at being any good because he's saying I only care if we win when my performance is up to par.

Caring that ohers are getting what they want from the game makes others play harder when you ride and prod them into going harder.

I agree what Ivan Carter of the Washington Post said about Arenas. It's like Chad Johnson and his antics. If the Wizard wins, people will say it's just Gilbert being Gilbert. If they lose, they will say it's a distraction and he's an ego maniac. In reality, it's much ado about nothing. The bigger problem is Gilbert's health, not his mouth. Like Kobe last year, it will take him a while to be at 100%.
