On Wednesday, the Wizards and T-Wolves both won their first home games of the season with the Wizards upending the Pacers, 103-90, and Minnesota downing Sacramento, 108-103.
In the win over the Pacers the Wizards were led by All-Star Gilbert Arenas, who poured in 30 points while also distributing a season-high 11 assists. Caron Butler added 25 points and for the 2nd straight game the Wizards starting small forward saw some time at the shooting guard position.
Last season the Wizards and Timberwolves split the season series winning one game a piece with each team winning on their home floor. However, tonight the Wizards will be seeing a new look Timberwolves team that has made a major overhaul to their roster from last season. Currently only five of the 15 players on the T-Wolves roster played for Minnesota in the 2006-07 season. While, the Timberwolves changes have yet to garner much succes, as Minnesota has only one win, Head Coach Eddie Jordan knows his team will be in for a fight on Friday.

Re: 11/16 :: Wizards vs. Timberwolves
This game shouldn't be a problem, but I'm still not that confident with this year's team.
I'll say 114 - 103 Wiz.

I don't like these games, the ones you expect or think you should win than end up being dissapointed with at the end. I say Wiz by 4.

Re: 11/16 :: Wizards vs. Timberwolves
Wiz win big, 105 - 89.
Caron led the team with 29 points and 8 rebounds while Arenas chipped in 27 and 8 assists.
I couldn't catch the game since I don't get CSN+. I was watching it through Courtside Live on NBA.com though and the Wiz were down most of the game until the 4th quarter.
3 game winning streak baby!

Re: 11/16 :: Wizards vs. Timberwolves
That 4th quarter was awesome. Gil and Caron tearing it up on offense and Haywood and Blatche holding it down of defense, EJ finally using common sense and playing his 2 7 footers late in the game. Songaila had a good game also with his offense. afireinside you sure you don't have CSN+ its not News Channel 8.

Re: 11/16 :: Wizards vs. Timberwolves
Nice win; it took me a while to find the game on CSN+. They should have put the Captitals on that channel. I ended up missing Antoine Walker's scoring frenzy.
I was a bit worried in the 3rd quarter when the Wizards were down as many as 12 but they were able to pull it together. Butler played great, in fact, it was surprising when he missed a shot. Arenas is getting better and better as each game goes along. It also looks like Blatche is a regular in Eddie Jordan's rotation; he's received over 20 minutes per game over the last 4 games.
I also expect the Wizards to expand their 8 man rotation eventually. The preseason showed that Young, McGuire, and Pecherov have a lot of potential but they will have to prove themselves as the season progresses.

Re: 11/16 :: Wizards vs. Timberwolves
Young played a few minutes but looked bad he had 2 turnovers, 2 fouls and a missed layup. After the 1st quarter Wizards struggled until the middle of the 4th Caron was consistant and kept them in the game for the most part than him, Gil and the defense turned it on late in the fourth. I don't know what this CNS+ channel is but atleast its not News Channel 8. They have sportsnite after the game and they don't flash lottery numbers during the game. If anyone can't get the games shoot me a PM I might can help you out.
