Theres a Stevenson sighting tonight, 19 points in the middle of the 3rd 7-11 shooting, welcome to the season. Blatche with a great 1st half with 16 points.
:: Update, Haywood has a "mild" sprained ankle hope its not too serious and he will be able play tomorrow.

Re: 11/17 :: Wizards vs. Sixers
Blatche looks great out there. It's flashes like these that remind Eddie Jordan why he should be playing him a lot more. He was doing everything: mid-range jumpers, 3P shots, quick drives to the hoop, drawing fouls, blocking shots, and dishing out some assists. Let's hope he can carry his hot shooting into the next game
Stevenson also had a hot shooting night. He's been absent from the offense all year until this game. If Gil is going to sit out then he's going to have to contribute more than usual and he did tonight.
Nick Young is looking okay out there. He seems like a streaky shooter and he still makes bad decisions, but that's normal since he is a rookie. He will probably get an increase in playing time over the next few games if he keeps it up.
Solid win for the Wiz. Now that we shut up the critics, let's start climbing up the East!

Re: 11/17 :: Wizards vs. Sixers
I'd love to see Blatche get more playing time. Would it make sense for Eddie to use Caron at the 2, Antawn at the 3, and Blatche and Haywood at the same time? It would be a big line-up, but I think it would do well.

Re: 11/17 :: Wizards vs. Sixers
Blatche had a great game. Blatche really started getting on a roll when the 76ers subbed in Jason Smith, the rookie out of Colorado State. From what I saw, I'm even more glad that the Wizards took Nick Young over him.
Blatche has also been getting consistent playing time as well. Over the past 6 games, Blatche has seen at least 20+ minutes per game. I have to give EJ props on giving him consistent minutes even while the production was not there.
It's good to see that Stevenson has found his shot. Butler and Jamison also had solid games. Nick Young was very impressive in the first half when Butler and Haywood were not on the floor. In the first half I believe he was 3 from 4 from the field. His game sort of deteriorated in garbage once he came back in the 2nd half along with playing with weaker players (see Roger Mason) with the game out of reach. I also believe a few of his turnovers were due to the fact that he became primary ball handler when Antonio Daniels was not on the floor. However, I'm really encouraged by his performance and he should be ahead of Roger Mason in the rotation.
McGuire looks like a work in progress but he showed a lot of potential out there. He had a nice dunk, a block, and a couple nice passes. I still think he has not found his comfort zone out there. I would like to see himself exert himself out there more. He only had 1 shot in 12 minutes and 0 rebounds.
