Wizards are winning at halftime 47-45. It will take a good 24 minutes of basketball to beat this Dallas team though.

At least it looks like a better defensive effort than the two previous games.

Re: 11/26 :: Wizards @ Mavericks

Nice win for the WIzards. They held the Mavs under 40% from the field and shot 50% themselves. Butler with a huge game with 35 points with 5-5 from three point range. Jamison was also valuable in making Dirk Nowitzki work on both ends of the court finishing with 27 points. Daniels was solid with 16 points and Stevenson also finished in double figures.

Nick Young was also huge in the 4th quarter. Eddie Jordan ran 3 plays in a row for Young who ended up scoring 2 layups. On the following layup which he missed, Haywood was able to get an easy put back because of the penetration.

Overall, the Wizards are building a good nucleus even with Gilbert Arenas out but I think the Wizards can play better ball if Arenas can come back close to 100%.

Re: 11/26 :: Wizards @ Mavericks

This will be the best win the Wizards have all season. They caught Dallas on one of their bad shooting nights I'm not sold on their defense holding great teams to 40% while shooting over 50% themselves every game its a rare thing however the team seems to overall play better (more team oriented ball without Gil) I hope Gil watch these games for more purposes other than supporting the team and realizing there is some other talent out there and doesn't have to take the shots all the time. Definately a great win.

Re: 11/26 :: Wizards @ Mavericks

Great win. I think it's going to give the team a lot of confidence playing without Gilbert since now they know they can beat anyone anywhere if they are on their game. We're going to be fine without Arenas, but probably will have a losing streak or two when either Butler or Jamison goes into a slump.
