Kwame eying return to NBA despite "bust" labels

Quote:
"They (the media) just try to make me out to be someone I'm not," Brown told HOOPSWORLD. "Everyone who knows me or knows anything about me knows that so that's what keeps me going. I mean, media is going to be media."

"I'll go to a team that wants me; I want to be there and I'll be healthy again," says Brown. "I'll get a full summer of work and not a full summer of surgery. I'll come back, ready to go."

As a former number one pick by the Wizards, I have to say I feel bad for the guy. He was held in such high regards before he was drafted so anything he does that isn't special--isn't worth it. Although he has had injuries, legal problems (Cake anyone?), and bad attitudes at points in his career, I still would like to give him one last chance. I feel like if he goes to a team that uses him smartly (maybe at power forward than center) and he works hard in the summer (and stays healthy while doing it), he could have a spot on a team next season and I wouldn't be mad if it was the Wizards.

Re: Kwame eying return to NBA despite "bust" labels

I don't think he could come back to the Wizards honestly, but I believe he'll definitely be on a roster next year.

At the least he's a big, fairly athletic player who can defend competently. Those types of players are always in demand. Players like Dale Davis, in their 40s, are still being pursued just because they're big bodies that aren't soft.

Kwame Brown is like the opposite of Gilbert Arenas. He says all the right things to the media but doesn't perform on the court. Someone will give Kwame at least one more chance.

I hope its not the Wizards. They can do better than KFB on the team.

he just didnt ever have a chance to develop here in washington, especially with jordan on the team. Can you imagine being 18years old and going from his small town to Georgia to practicing with Michael Jordan? And than the heartbreak you would feel as jordan calls you a flaming fa**ot in front of the rest of your team... would definitely be a buzz kill

what exactly do you mean by soft? Because he may have a good physique but you are kidding yourself if you are talking about his playing style. Kwame hates contact
