Re: Wizards vs. Cavs, Round 1
Great win for the Wizards. LeBron couldn't get done down the stretch for the Wizards and Butler came up with some huge buckets to seal the deal. The Wizards have to play with the same kind of intensity to have a chance in game 6; I'm sure the Cavs will be extra motivated to close it out in Washington.

Hopefully the Wiz will be able to take it to 7 games.

Re: Wizards vs. Cavs, Round 1
I'm of the opinion this will be a much harder game to win than the last game. LeBron and company will come in pumped and ready to seal the deal. While they have the security blanket of going back to Cleavland, they do not want to use it. Plus the Cavs have ended the Wizards season in the Phone Booth the past two season.
The Wizards have to put forth a better game on the offensive end. Antawn Jamison has to shoot better than 30% from the field. They can't afford to miss free throwsdown the stretch, where they missed 3 free throws in the final 5 minutes. The Wizards will have to keep a high intensity on the boards. They also have to take care of the ball. The Wizards defense played as well as it did all season, holding Cleavland without a field goal for the final 5 minutes of the game.

Songaila gets suspended just hours before gametime. Punk move by the NBA.

Good series Wiz fans.
Here's hoping we run into each other in the playoffs again next year.

Maybe next time in the Conference Finals. I want to see how the Wizards do matchup against other teams in the playoffs.
And the Wizards were simply too gassed tonight. They did all they could but they used of most of their energy clawing back in game 5. I would say some of the calls were questionable but the Wizards can't get caught looking at the refs or the war is already lost.

Yup. I think it was funny that if "anybody hits LeBron in the face they should get suspended". It should have been if "anybody hits anybody in the face with full intent they should get suspended". It's not so surprising that Songailia hit him in the face because he is so damn clumsy. However, this team clearly has depth issues in the frontcourt and I wouldn't mind seeing the Wizards upgrade at least one of their bigs.
