Wizards playing "head games" with Cavs
Quote:
A few hours later, the team returned to the arena several follicles lighter than it had left. Andray Blatche stood in front of his locker at 6:30, a strip of hair adorning the middle of his head. His early-season Mohawk had returned.
"I was ballin' in my Mohawk," Blatche explained. "We all getting ready to go to war, man. White Out. It's like milk out there; I'm like a cat. I want some milk. I'm telling you, we're ready for war, man. White out. Ride together, die together. Bad boys for life. I'm telling you, I was BORN for this."

Re: Wizards playing "head games" with Cavs
Go Wiz..since I had them in 6
IMO it actually helped that Arenas wasnt playing. Not doubting his talent at all, but when you coming off a majory injury and then bone bruise the same knee it doesnt bode well. Maybe even more importantly is that the Wiz are used to playing without him. They know what to expect from each other when he is not on the court. This isnt like those times other big names are out for 5-10 games and the team happens to have a winning record in that time. This has been for almost a full season.

They whine that everyone hates on them without stopping to look in the mirror.

Re: Wizards playing "head games" with Cavs
maybe im just turning into a lebron hater.....but man am i rooting for the wiz. i'm this close to buying a stevenson jersey. maybe even trade my hinder cd for some soliderboy!
its going to be a tough battle...but i'm rooting that they beat Lebron down. or maybe Stevenson approaches James at the free throw line and reminds him that he is afraid to shoot clutch free throws.

I heard from a buddy that their is a minor league team project that allows your average fan to be a part owner. Basically you buy a share and you get to vote on basketball operations. I guess this includes the coach, players and all the other stuff. The website is currently guaging interest in the IBL. It isn't the pros but it still is basketball. Sounds better than running some pointless fantasy team.

Re: Wizards playing "head games" with Cavs
The talking in this series has definitely made it really entertaining. I'm sure casual fans will now be tuning in to see whats going to happen. Good for the league.

Re: Wizards playing "head games" with Cavs
no, head games can definetely work... the one thing that was proven with this series is EJs offense doesnt work. I dont know what i would do if i was forced to see us dribble out the clock only to have stevenson force up a bad 3 one more time.

Re: Wizards playing "head games" with Cavs
Head games work if you can back it up the talk, in this case the ones doing the talking didn't perform up to the talk so its a fialure. I agree about the offense all I see is a lot of dribbling around and a lot of forced shots at the shot clock, very ugly offense.
