Is Michael Wilbon a genius?
Anyone who likes reading Wilbon articles should read this one named, "The Cav's Have a Lebron, And the Wizard's don't". He makes a great point about star players leading their teams too championships. Enjoy: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...050300082.html

Wow, the team with the best player in a sport with relatively small rosters usually wins???
Michael Wilbon, ladies and gentlemen. He's a genius.

Re: Is Michael Wilbon a genius?
So Bron is guaranteed to make the finals every year from now, because really the only guys equal in talent (going by Wilbon's article) are Duncan and Kobe, and those are the only teams that have a chance of stopping Bron.

I read this article, he makes a good point. Great players will always have at least decent teams because they'll be the difference in close games.

Re: Is Michael Wilbon a genius?
The wizards have 3 All-star-material players in caron-gilbert-antwan, and that should equal and edge the fact that cavs has LeBron. Lebron is in fact a fantastic player, and maybe the most gifted one in the league, but i simply think that what really mathers is which teams roleplayers steps up, if this article should be true, why is Detroit then even getting in the playoffs? why is spurs winning?(i do know timmy has good fundamentals, but he sure hell aint as big a factor as james, kobe, wade etc.) it's at least as much about the role players, i would rather have a bunch of good players, than one great and a bunch of no-bodys, and i think the 5 good players would win, having a great go-to-guy will only take you into the play-offs, the play-offs are about role-players stepping up and stars passing the ball.

Re: Is Michael Wilbon a genius?
The Wizards were really playing with 2 all stars this time around. Arenas only played all star ball in the 1st half of game 1 which gave the Wizards a double digit. Other than, Arenas was never close to 100%.
