Bibby may be signing a one year deal and become a FA next offseason. Even if he doesnt necessarily consider the Wizards, or they him, he adds to a pool of players, meaning there will be more choice.

Yes, you have a big point. Unfortunately if the Wizards either sign Rip to a big extension now, or re-sign him fora max contract next summer, a guy like Bibby won't be in our price range. Unless Rip has a huge season, I'd say let him go and test Hughes and Dixon at sg. Meanwhile, you can go after big pg prospects like Bibby and Payton, or perhaps some other position. Personally, I don't see Rip doing much better than 22, 4, 4 next season unless the rumors of him bulking up over the summer are true.
