Baxter, Dixon, Blake... we've got a real good shot heading into the tourney!
But yeah, with Etan and Haywood's contracts up, this move makes sense.

Good, now Washington can make the Final Four.

"Why not?" is just what I was thinking. Won't hurt, probably won't help much either.

he's better than Etan so he's a good backup PF for Kwame.
maybe not Final Four, but Sweet 16 is looking good.

LOL, I wouldn't go so far as to say he's better than Etan. He's got a better basketball IQ and softer hands (who doesn't) but he doesn't have anything in the way of height or athleticism.
He's a 6'7 (in shoes) PF. Against the right matchups, he's not too bad at all. Against really long guys and really strong guys, he gets brutalized.
But as the 4th or 5th guy in the big man rotation, he's ok. And he's a nice kid who tries hard.

Wow, we can team Lonny with Torraye Braggs and our front court scoring problems will be solved. I know he can't hurt, but if we aren't so addicted to hometown guys, then this guy doesn't play in the NBA anymore.

You gotta imagine Nelson is drooling at the thought, as Peja could help him inch closer to his dream of averaging 300ppg.

Should the Lakers sign Latrell Sprewell?

You couldnt be more wrong. This is the type of player NBA coaches love. Big thick player who will battle down low and always try his hardest. For the money he's making, I'd say pretty much every NBA team would like to have him if given the chance.

I honestly do not understand why we picked him up. He doesn't bring much to the team this year, and the fact that two teams have let him go this season, while both teams could have used him in their rotation, doesn't say much to me.
This is clearly a marketing ploy by the Wizards. I went to the NO game and started counting how many consecutive empty sections there were around the arena. The Wizards aren't doing much in attendance, and having Baxter can't hurt there.
