Cool. Things would be a lot different here in Washington if Yao was drafted to the Wizards.

Yao-Kwame-Arenas leading the way for the present and future- Pretty impressive IMO.

That's a shame. Besides the fact that he's a great player, he's a great player to watch as well. The MCI Center would probably be much more packed and we'd get more (IE not zero) national TV games with him on the squad.

I'd have been willing to guess that Jordan would have gone with Jay Williams with the first pick in the draft over Yao. I think he would have wanted to get the player that complimented him better immediately.

I remember hearing that in the practice drawing, where they were showing the media how the drawing took place, Atlanta was actually the team to come out on top.

Here is something even scarier. The Rockets 2 years ago had the combination of balls to land them the 1 and 2nd pick in the draft. Except the rules do not allow a team 2 lottery picks. So they had their pick pushed back.

Now they had Francis already. So imagine had they drafted... Dunleavy, Gooden, Nene, Amare, Caron? Who knows.
