the #3 and Stack is worth more than Rashard Lewis.
Blake is not a starter in this league, that is all.

How about some backup on why Blake isn't a starter? I think he could be a very good starter at point in this league.
12-14 ppg 5-8 apg 2-4 rpg

Yeah, Blake is a backup in my book as well. And there's no way he starts over Arenas. I still don't understand why everyone wants to move Arenas to the 2 and bring in another point.
After looking at the draft options, it appears only a bunch of foreigners will be available with our pick, and I don't know the first thing about any of them. Okafar is a little small, Howard is a raw talent. I still think this team needs a solid vet SF- that's why I'm in favor of trading the pick. I don't have any bright ideas right now though.
If we can't get a trade, then we might as well draft a big guy, he'll get minutes because we are a little thin up front:
Kwame/Jeffries
Haywood/draft pick
I believe Etan will leave and Laettner will go to Charlotte or play only when necessary. I don't see him as a critical piece. Jeffries isn't a physical 4 man, I don't think he can hold up at that position for extended time anyway. So let's go for a young big.

The Wiz if they are smart they will leave Arenas and Hughes as the backcourt. They need to get rid of "stone hands" Haywood though. Put a real Center next to Kwame. The rest of the roster is solid IMO. Trading Stackhouse is also a very good idea.

dunno about Haywood. he's been improving. if he develops his handling over the off-season, then the Wizards should keep him.

Where do you live? You know a lot about the Wizards!!
I agree 100% on getting rid of Haywood because he can't catch a ball and he sucks at free throws, Stackhouse said he is staying in DC next season and I think he is the person to bring that veteran leadership to the team.

I have League Pass, so I watch the Wiz a lot. Haywood stinks, he won't be developing handles. He went to college for 4 years (at UNC for goodness sake) and then has been in the league for 3 years. What makes anyone think he will be able to develop handling and catching the ball after 7 years of playing against high quality competition? Haywood is a bum.

League Pass is awesome, isn't it? I like watching Washington play a lot actually. I wouldn't go as far as to say Haywood's a bum, I think he's an OK backup Center, especially in the East. If Washington grabs Pavel/Perovic/Biedrins, and they can come in and contribute this season(unlikely), there's no doubt they get in the playoffs next season. Especially if they can unload Stack.

Heh it's nice to hear some non-Wizards fans actually enjoy watching us play. To be honest, I always thought we'd be one of those teams people would cringe while watching if they weren't a fan of the team.

The only questions I have about Washington have to do with continuity. They need to not change the roster too much.
I like the starters.
PG - Arenas
SG - Hughes
SF - Hayes
PF - Kwame
C - Pavel/Biedrins/Perovic (Just plugging this kind of size in there should help them. Or start Haywood till any of them are ready.
Bench
Blake (PG), Dixon (SG), Jefferies (SF), Thomas (PF) and Haywood (C)
I like this group of 10 players and the Wizards are just such a good scoring team that I think they will only get better. If I were them (since they run the Princeton offense), I would draft Perovic or Biedrins because I think they could be really good passing big men moreso than Pavel would be.
I also really like Jared Jeffries. He has good talent and if he gets the chance to become a legit 6th man for this team at the SF/PF spots he could really shine. Outside of Kwame and Arenas, I think he can improve the most of all the Wizards players. I am also glad that Larry Hughes has finally become a successful player in this league. Him and Arenas can become a dangerous playoff backcourt next year.
The way I see it, I think Washington makes the playoffs next year, and if I was going to do some pre-draft, pre-2004 playoffs this year I think the 8 Eastern teams will be:
1. Indiana (Central)
2. New York (Atlantic)
3. Miami (Southeast)
4. Detroit
5. Milwaukee
6. New Jersey (the league is catching up to them and if they lose Martin they might miss the playoffs next year)
7/8. Washington/Boston/Cleveland (2 of these 3 teams will make it)
This off-season will improve the East big time and no I am not a nut.

All of those a fan of the very selfish Hughes has got to be kidding. He's terrible amd part of the reason the Wizards have the leagues most to's and lowest assist numbers.
we need Deng or Okafor everyone else is like drafting JJ and Hayes.
Deng might even be my pick over Okafor. We need glue guys guys who'll do the dirty work guys who will pass. Wizards have too many offense 1st guys. Hughes, Arenas, Stack,Hayes,Dixon,Kwame.
We need 3 offensive options, Arenas 1 Kwame 2 and Stack 3.
Deng could glue it all togther Bobby Dandrigde style. Look it up young fellas.
okafor or deg.
