Jazzy, I think your underestimating Arenas. The guy is going to be great. The Wiz might of made the playoffs this year if healthy but Orlando had no shot from the start.
Nobody has ever accused T-Mac of being a leader. He's not that competitive either.
T-Mac isn't greatness. Greatness doesn't lead your team to the worst record in the league.
Okafor may end up being better than Kwame anyways.

TMac is special, plain and simple. Arenas, while he shows promise, isn't there yet. It would be foolish not to take TMac over Arenas and a pick.

I agree Tmac isn't a leader but neither is Arenas. But at least from a playing standpoint Tmac has been a leader and a succesful player as far as getting to the playoffs.
I can't see how anyone can compare the 2 players. I really like Arenas but Tmac's led the league in scoring 2 years straight has been 1st team all NBA Arenas hasn't even been an allstar.
Tmac is greatness ,no one can win by themselves no one can put that on a uy who has to score 60 points in a game to beat the league 3rd worst team in us last season. Tmac had nothing to work with, the year before he was playoffs. Whats Arenas's history.
Okafor I doubt will be better than Kwame. kwame's bigger and more skilled. Had Kwame gone to college this being his3rd year he'd easily be the 1st pick ahead of Okafor.
I've been watching NBA ball for 25 +years I realize that it requires great talent to win in this league.
Arenas is very tough, athletic goes to the hole with passion and has a nice spot up 3pt shot. I like him and am not for trading him but for someone like Tmac.
Tmac is the 2nd best wing in the league behind Kobe.
How many combo guards have ever become pass 1st pg's absolutely none. They either are facillitators or they aren't. Arenas will get better as a player and I do believe with Tmac or not the Wizards will make the playoffs but it will be because Kwame will lead us there not Arenas.
Kwame's the only one who talks about team and the need for all to share the ball. Not Arenas whose job it is to actually share the ball.
If the Wizards draft Okafor and pair him with Kwame ,we'll still make the playoffs.
I just think we'd go further with Tmac as our catalyst because he's one of the few players who's unstoppable in the NBA from a scoring standpoint and those type players are match-up nightmares for other teams to handle especially in a slow down playoff type atmosphere.

I'm not questioning T-mac's talent. It just seems to me like him and Kwame are too laid-back to be leaders on a successful team. I can't see those two guys getting a team fired up.

Arenas will be a leader of our team next year and an NBA Fan favorite and an NBA All Star next year. I hope so.
GA is the man.

Arenas may not score as much, but I bet he'll get more assists, rebounds, and steals than T-mac in his prime.

I agree with your issue regarding Tmac. But if he stays healthy you're talking about one of the legends of the game. He's gonna be top 20 alltime as a player.
I don't think Kwame's gonna be that laid back I actually think Kwame has the Tim Duncan personality trait not real demonstrative very calculating. Rah rah guys are fine but these types personalities are okay also.
I totally disagree with the assists ,rebounds and steals part. TMac is better clearly with rebounds will stay close or better at rebounds and steals. Plus throw in some blocks.
Arenas I think is gonna be a fine player but Tmac's great is all I'm saying and we'd be foolish not to make a run at him He's 6'8 but looks 6'9 on the court.
I think like Arenas, Tmac is still maturing as a man. He's feeling his way to becoming a leader which Arenas is doing also.

After this season, Im not sure whether to include T-Mac in the Top 5 players in the league. However, Arenas and the 2nd Pick are worthwhile or T-Mac, mainly because Arenas' main attribute for the team is scoring, not passing. Why not trade for someone who could do it better in T-Mac, who is still only around 24 years old?

That makes no sense, Arenas is the PG, T-Mac is the SG. Arenas is a good passer, he just has to commit to it.

^Arenas might be moved to SG if we draft Livingston. Meaning we will trade Stackhouse or Hughes. I wouldn't mind having Arenas at SG who can run the offense.

Arenas is much stronger than Livingston, so I think that backcourt would get man handled unless Livingston can put on 20-30 pounds.

I can't help but wonder did you see all the to's Arenas and Hughes were making last season. Arenas is capable of passing but he makes horrible decisions. Tmac is the better passer.
I only want to trade Arenas for Tmac not interested in shopping him. I believe in the kid, but Tmac is very special .

I feel that Arenas is more of a 2 guard than a point. I mean, for those who claim he is a good passer, look at his turnover ratio. He is a scorer, and I feel that is his main attribute and contribution to the team. Dont get me wrong, I like Arenas. But why pass up the chance on a potential Hall of Famer in McGrady. He and Kwame have the potential to be something very special in the future.

Like I said, I have no problem with Arenas for T-Mac. I just have wouldn't want to give up Okafor, probably cause I have a higher opinion of him. I think Okafor is going to be a big time all-star. Arenas is a good passer, better than T-Mac, but the turnovers came from playing with different line-ups all year and never getting any chemistry with the teammates.
