Gladiators set stage for a new run
The Rome Gladiators return this season after winning the World Basketball Association title last year not content to rest on their laurels.
“We want to be perfect,” Gladiators coach Harold Ellis said at a press conference on Wednesday at which he announced new personnel moves.
Ellis announced the hiring of Stewart Watkins, a former college teammate of his, as an assistant.
The team also announced the hiring of Roman Tony Potts as the team’s director of media and public relations.
Ellis said the Gladiators had a commitment to bring quality entertainment to Rome for the third straight year.
