The Murfreesboro Musicians lost a hard fought game against the Defending WBA Champions, Rome
Gladiators 116-99 on the road Thursday night.
Musicians Head
Coach, Steve Tucker feels
the game was beneficial to his Musicians! "We learned a lot as
a team playing against Rome! Hey, they have a good team and a proven championship caliber franchise. They have good players, good coaches, and a winning tradition there, so anytime you go into their place it is going to be a great challenge. In the last two years they've rarely lost a home game, so I think it is a bit premature to be crowning them the Champs again and counting us out. We have a very young team with only one veteran player that has gone through this before, so this is all new to our players. They'll adjust and we'll get better!
Pro Basketball is about winning series and we have a four game series vs Rome this WBA regular season! We'll make adjustments and prepare for round two against them at our home on Saturday night. It's very early in the season and remember, this is a
marathon, not a sprint!"
The Musicians will host Rome at the Musicians Arena at Oakland HS in Murfreesboro on Saturday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.
