Don’t look now, but the Rome Gladiators are beginning to look a little like they did last year — spectacular.
The Gladiators (7-2) are on a five-game win streak and have the fortune of playing back to back games at home tonight and Saturday.
Tonight they face Gainesville at Shorter College and Saturday they take on Druid City at The Forum on Armed Forces Night.
“We’ve been on the road for a while and we’re glad to be back at home,” said Glads coach Harold Ellis. “These things are important to us. If we can take care of business on the road and at home we’ll be in good shape.”
The key to the Gladiators success of late has been a team shell filled with the right pieces, Ellis said.
